Summary: Pros: -steady build -reliable and good quality interiors -decent milage -excellent response cons: -Service is relatively expensive -the OVRM adjustment knob can break if handled without care. -fuel efficiency is not the best in class -transmission is on the heavier side I purchased my Polo(comfort line) in the end of 2012 and it has completed about 55000 Kms. the vehicle is very steady on roads particularly at speeds above 120 Kmph. the interiors and build quality ooze a premium feel. the rides are generally comfortable even for prolonged journeys. the features are usually standard but at the time i bought the car, Volkswagen offered lesser features that some of the other competition like Hyundai but a test drive of either car would show that while the i20 focuses on gadgets and gizmos more, Polo is all about build quality and reliability. Pick your poison accordingly! Services with Volkswagen may not always be the best of experiences but if your car has fewer or no troubles at all, it does not remain a major concern for you. Volkswagen services are particularly pricy but then the car itself needs very few visits to the workshop. for city drives the car may feel heavy particularly if you have to cut corners or change gears frequently in traffic but generally the engine is extremely responsive and very thrilling to say the least considering that its only 1.2 Ltrs. All in all its a great buy for anybody who prefer quality over quantity generally. the current variants are abundant on quantity of features as well. the current line of polos sport all the latest trendy features in the segment plus the reliability and strong build quality that you come to expect from Volkswagen. i have given 4/5 stars because i expect the fuel efficiency to be better since its only a 1.2 ltr. engine.
