Test drive review and first look of Volkswagen Ameo

This is the car I was waiting from the last 2 months , even I visited twice to showroom of Volkswagen. Finally the vehicle arrived and I got a chance to take a test drive. I have taken test drive of Honda Amaze, Ford Figo Aspire and Maruti Baleno before that but feel a little different when I took the steering wheel of Ameo on hand. I was planning to Buy a car with the budget of Rs 7 to 8 lakhs so I was eagerly waiting for Ameo. The features provided by Ameo like rain sensing wiper, cruse control and pinch window sensor in this price range make the Ameo top on the list. While driving the car ,vehicle remain stable even in the speed of 120 KMPH. The 1.2 ltr. petrol engine is sufficient to provide enough power to make you drive crazy but I feel engine noise when I accelerate. The interior gives a good impression, the combination of brighter and dark sheds gives an edge to its rivals. Front seats are very comfortable and specious also the cushions are so soft. The best part is front armrest, which I feel is very essential for the compact sedan as well as in hatchback cars segment. The steering mounted features also very easy and smooth to operate. The touch screen infotainment system and rear parking camera are very cool to use but these feature are only available on to the top end model. However the disappointing thing is the leg space available in the back side of the car. Even the seats of driver and driver seats are curved from the back side which creates space but not enough for the healthy person or having a hight of 6 feet. Even the space of the back seat , I found less if I want accommodate three persons. The best part of the back side of the car is AC vent , which is very must considering the hot weather condition of city like Surat. So the volkswagen has taken care of the comfort of their customers in their new entrants. Now talking about Boot space 330 litre , it's sufficient for a family of 5 people if they want to go for long family holiday. Exterior of the car is also looks good. The halogen headlamps in black finish is most attractive parts of the from along with the front crome lining. Side curves gives cool looks to the car but at the tail lamps volkswagen could do a better but still is attractive as they have provided curved design. Overall the vehicle is a great package in terms of looks, design, comfort and safety. Test drive and first impression gave me an excellent feel. The best part the delivery of the vehicle is expected less than in a month. But main features like rain sensing wiper, arm rest, reverse parking camera and sensor digital clock, anti pinch window sensor and touch screen infotainment system are available to the top end model.
