A month with my Duster

Look and Style - Thats what I went for. A beauty to my eyes. I only wish those "Door Side Sill (Chrome Satin)", "Stylish Roof Rails (Chrome Satin)", and all the other chrome finishes were available as accessories. Comfort - The Duster doesnot supply the comfort of a luxury car like the Honda CR-V, especially in hilly terrains, but the comfort of generous leg-space, elbow-room is more that adequate. I am sure it would be comfortable in level areas and highways. Pickup - Being my first diesel powered car, I have to say that the 85PS is not instantaneous like the Santro epecially when combing gradient of 45 degrees from stationary. (I am not over-reving my engine as it is new.) Mileage - For a non-accelerating cruising driver like me the milage is great. It does show the specified 20kmpl on highways. Best Features - Unbeatable external looks. Needs to improve - Waiting period (4 - 7 months) is too long. Scarcity in supply would allow greedy dealers to make "commissions" from certain segment of buyers. I also wish the suspension becomes softer. Overall Experience - Great car to own, parking problems in small towns and cities. I believe the car is capable of handling offroad punishment and hilly terrain with undeveloped roads (Only time will tell).
