Baleno is not just a car, it is an actual affordable luxury. This premium hatchback (abt word) gives you the looks of Merc, Comfort of an Audi and features of a BMW without robbing your pocket. It also loudly answers the biggest question asked in India - Kitna Deti hai ?? As even your petrol Baleno would score between 17-20 on mixed rides of city and highway. Safety is of paramount importance for Baleno manufacturers as Every variant of Baleno from Sigma to Alpha has inbuilt Airbags to protect your precious life, This is one of the features because of which I selected Baleno. My baleno?s variant is Sigma, even though it doesn't have the Day running LED lamps like today?s luxury cars but still I never felt it scores lesser on any front as it gives the much costlier cars a run for their money. What?s more is Baleno is one of the most reliable cars on Indian roads, you can trust it not to betray you no matter how difficult the terrain is and how much off roading you have to do. Baleno has Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) for your driving ease and It has a huge boot space of 339, where there is ample space left even after keeping a woofer.up to now I was noting all the pros. Let?s talk about few cons too (Even though the car is faultless, but still trying to find some shortcomings)First one is Baleno doesn't have too much accessories in the market as of now, even though it has been 1 year since its launch. When you will visit the car accessory shops they will say they don?t have the accessories available yet as the car is new (for the reasons unknown). I can say this as I wanted a front grill for my Baleno but it?s nowhere available in the market, at least in my local market.The second one is you have to get all the electric accessories installed from the overpriced accessory shop of Maruti as The warranty of car would get void if the wiring is touched by anyone other than from Maruti. They had charged me 18,000 for the touchscreen stereo of Sony (without speakers, amplifier, and woofer for which I had paid another 20,000 outside) but the stereo is without GPS system, which is just ridicules as how can someone charge such a hefty amount for a touchscreen which is missing such an important feature. (No I was not given a chance to select this accessory, they just told me this is the best one they have available and it has all the features inbuilt).Another shortcoming is to acquire this car you need to wait for unreasonable long periods, 7 months for some. I don?t understand how can a person wait for 200 days to get their hands on this mini beast? The wait maybe worth it but some people quit midway and opt for other cars like i20, The Nexa management should think of starting another one of assembly lines to meet up with demand.But no matter how hard I try, finding faults in this car is not possible which is the reason I am finding problems in Maruti service and management. What I think is they should have chosen a different name for this little beast, It deserved a different identity then the old useless Baleno.Last part is the colors of the Baleno are actually breath-taking and its looks combined with mind blowing colors ensures a second look when it passes through the road. Colour of my Baleno is Ray blue. But the Pearl Arctic White, Fire Red and Granite Grey are equally beautiful colors.The bottom line is no matter which color and variant of Baleno you have, you are ensured having a blissful experience.
