Old is gold

I owned Santro Xing and drove it for 11 years till 2014. At that time the only rival to Santro was Wagon R with all beaten design and build up. But now new Santro has many rivals with equal features and attractive prices. Old Santro Xing boasted a milage of 18 kpl but i never got more than 12 in city rides. I own Celerio vxi which cost me around 5 lakh on road. I am fully satisfied except for build up and cabin noise. Celerio promises 23 kpl. In city I get 15-17 kpl clear depending upon traffic. On highway sometines it crosses 26 kpl and it gives steady 23+ mileage. Maruti, true to their claim. Smooth and trouble-free driving. Whereas, new Santro disappointed me price, mileage and designwise which made me drop the idea of buying the new Santro.
