Latest Update: The Renault Kwid EV has been spotted testing in India for the first time.
Launch: The Kwid EV could be launched by sometime in 2026.
Price: The electric version of the Kwid is expected to be priced from Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).
Battery Pack, Electric Motor, And Range: The Renault Kwid EV comes with a 26.8 kWh battery pack which offers a WLTP-claimed range of over 220 km. It is available with a choice of two electric motors depending upon the variant selected: 46 PS and 65 PS.
Features: Just like the international-spec Spring EV, the Kwid EV could come with amenities like a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, all four power windows, auto AC, and wireless phone charger.
Safety: Passenger safety could be ensured by multiple airbags, a rear view camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The global-spec Spring EV also gets level 1 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features.
Rivals: The Renault Kwid EV will take on the MG Comet EV, while being an affordable alternative to the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3.
