India's largest SUV maker has officially introduced another utility vehicle in the country's automobile market, which is christened as Tata Movus. This latest model is available in six different variants among which, the Tata Movus CX 8 Seater is one of the entry level trim. This variant is available with an eight seating option, wherein its second and third row have been equipped with bench seats. Powering this trim is the advanced 2179cc VARICOR diesel engine that is mated with an advanced five speed manual transmission gearbox. It is capable of producing 118.35bhp in combination with a maximum torque of 250Nm and it can deliver a peak mileage of 16 Kmpl, which is impressive. On the other hand, the manufacturer has optimized the body weight of this vehicle, which helps in improving its performance and fuel efficiency. This trim is blessed with aspects like a rack and pinion power assisted steering, heating system, ebony black fabric upholstery with vinyl inserts, bottle holders and a number of other important aspects. At present, the car maker has introduced this family utility vehicle with 100000 kilometer or 3 years warranty, which can be further extended to 50000 Kms or one year, which ever is earlier. On the other hand, this vehicle is available with two body paint options including Arctic Silver and Arctic White.

Exteriors:

This latest SUV trim comes with a large body structure that is equipped with a few attractive cosmetics, which makes it look distinct. To start with its rear, it comes fitted with a distinctly designed clear lens taillight cluster that is further equipped with high intensity lights and turn indicators. The boot lid is very large and is integrated with aspects like a large windscreen, black colored appliqué and a chrome plated company insignia. Its bumper is in black color and is further equipped with reflectors. Its side profile is very elegant, thanks to the distinctly designed body graphics that gives a modernistic look to the sides. Here, the door handles and the outside rear view mirrors are in black color, while the A, B, C and D-pillars are in body color, which gives a decent look to the side profile. Its front profile looks intimidating, thanks to the black colored rugged bumper that has a large air intake section. The radiator grille is in black, but is embossed with horizontally positioned chrome strips along with the company logo. It is surrounded by a large headlight cluster that is further equipped with a high intensity halogen headlamps. The overall look of this new utility vehicle is quite contemporary and will certainly attract the SUV aficionados.

Interiors:

The all new Tata Movus CX 8 Seater is all about interior space and seating comfort. The leg and head space inside the cabin is huge and it can provide comfortable seating for at least eight passengers. Its interiors are blessed with ebony black color scheme and it is further accentuated by the silver inserts given on central console and on door handles. Its cabin is equipped with conventional seating arrangement with eight seater capacity where all the rows come with front facing seats. The company has used good quality vinyl upholstery for covering these seats that also have fabric inserts. Its dashboard has a plain design and is equipped with utility aspects storage section, mobile holder , instrument cluster with illumination adjustment, and numerous other control switches.

Engine and Performance:

This latest utility vehicle is equipped with an advanced 2.2-litre VARICOR diesel power plant with common rail direct fuel injection system. It is based on the DOHC valve configuration with 4-cylinders and 16-valves that displaces 2179cc . This motor is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox that enables the front wheels to draw the torque output. This advanced engine can produce a maximum power output of 118.35bhp at 4000rpm in combination with a commanding torque output of 250Nm between 1500 to 3000rpm. The manufacturer claims that the vehicle can generate a peak mileage in the range of 15 to 16 Kmpl, which is somewhat satisfying considering its caliber. On the other hand, it has the ability to reach a top speed of approximately 150 Kmph and can accelerate towards 100 Kmph mark from a standstill in just about 15 to 16 seconds.

Braking and Handling:

This family utility vehicle comes with a proficient disc and drum braking mechanism, which works in all weather conditions. Its front wheels have been fitted with disc brakes, whereas its rear ones have been paired with high performance drum brakes. On the other hand, the car maker has equipped the front axle with double wishbone suspension system loaded with coil springs, while the rear axle is equipped with parabolic leaf spring suspension, which keeps the vehicle well balanced. Furthermore, it is also equipped with anti roll bars, which enhances the stability of the vehicle. In a bid to boost the handling aspects, the car maker has also incorporated hydraulic rack and pinion based power assisted steering system that minimizes the efforts required by driver.

Comfort Features:

The all new Tata Movus CX 8 seater trim is one of the entry level variants, but the company has equipped it with several important aspects. The list includes heating system, power steering system, tip tap ORVMs , illumination ignition key slot, fabric inserts on door trims, instrument cluster with light adjustment, digital trip meter, magazine pockets in door trims, vanity mirror in sun visor, alternator interior fan, mud flaps and cable operated remote fuel flap.

Safety Features:

This newly introduced utility vehicle is blessed with a rigid yet light weight body that protects the passengers in case of collision. It comes with a list of safety aspects including child lock system, high mount third brake light, height adjustable seat belts , anti glare inside rear view mirror, driver door ajar warning lamp and motorized head lamps adjustment. These aspects will provide basic safety to the vehicle and to the passengers as well.
