Really good car I already driven 141000 km not any problem best car for 25 lakh budget no any problem best part of safety 8 air bag offer in 2016 car good and reliable service cost is 15000 km 17000 rs. My dad call this car is diesel rocket. mileage on highway is 17-18 and city 15 -16 almost long journey i claim 19.

Hello fellow mates,I am Pratik a bike enthusiast and i was traveling pune to my uncles place as it was collage vacation. I already had got to know from my uncle who just loves car that he has bought New Skoda Octavia 2015 1.8 TSI Style plus well frankly speaking i wasn't that exited as i never had heard any thing good about skoda the only thing i knew was superb being superb and the after sales jokes in News article which we all know about.The moment i entered the house i saw it was covered with the car cover as always my uncle just treats and cares his cars like they are million dollar smokey lamos. After 3hr journey from mumbai-Pune i was not in a mood to look at it went straight asleep. I woke up in the morning and just came yawning out from my room to balcony and Dam i see her getting washed by my cousin and there i fall in love with her. Immediately went running towards her and visited Skoda Website for SpecsExterior--Chiseled body and crisp lines of the Octavia makes it look poised.-Crystalline highlights? and sharp cuts are all over the car being a European.-The LED DRL and Bi-Xenon headlights wow they are magnificent.-The beauty full Butterfly grill adds to bold avatar of the vehicle.-The Panoramic Sunroof is cute spacious in its segment.-The length its too 4659mm long enough to extend your parking lot and a concern to park in tight spaces (my experience)Interior--Like very Euro-german car, they call it Onyx-Ivory i call it Dull(my uncle loves it as its just plain and classy- but i think it should get high contrast interior to its bold and racy character)- 2zone AC- 6.5inch Music system (Thats Super lound)-Console fit and finish is top notch.-the Rear leg Room space its humongous.-3 person cannot sit comfortable at rear seat due to transmission tunnel bump.-Boot space is cosmic 625L can be extended to 1580L You and literally fit dead body's in it just Kiding.Engine Specs--1.8 TSI turbocharged petrol engine- in-line, liquid cooling system-Power let the number to the talking- 177php or 180ps(Pferdest�rke) generating a Whopping torque of 250NM.-Powered BY 7 Speed DSG gearbox known for the performance.-Very Strong pick up and mid-range.Safety-It has got what not.-8 airbags-ABS-ECS (Electronic Stability Control)-TPM (Monitors tyre Pressure) -EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution)-MKB(Multi collision braking) (youtube it its really nice.)-ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) + MSR (Motor Speed Regulation)-AFS (Adaptive Frontlight System) A smart feature the light Automatically Adjusts according to the speed, corners Etc in short the Surroundings.-EDL (Electronic Differential Lock) cannot explain please youtube it.i have never spent so much time researching on any car(bikes i do) i visited Skoda web site, googled jargons and Youtubed things to understand.Back to the storyAfter the was getting completed i was eager to fell the vehicle. My Uncle came towards me and said "Chalavnar ka?" in marathi means "Want to ride?I had a grin like a small school boy offered a Candy.I rushed inside the vehicle and the first thing i did was adjust the seat according to my posture the best thing was The Seats was 12way electrically adjustable that was something new for me i adjusted the lumber support as it was very comfortable. the started the engine and the MFD indicated me fasten the seat belt. Their was empty road with quite good corners.I was ready to test this machine my uncle gave me a stare and said "put all of your skill let me see what are you up to". Damm i press the accelerator pedal a bit and i felt like i was on a roller coaster launched form its Pad. my leg went towards the left to find the clutch and my dumbness i forgot it was an AT. The moment i fit the corner i could Literally feel the ECS (Electronic Stability Control) working on brakes to help we maintain the lane and avoid me drifting the car out of control, breaking was Fabulous. I noticed the a 2 small leaver on the steering wheel as asked what was it uncle said Pedal shiftier skoda call them gear shift control on steering wheel, i resembled them to one in Ferrari(My bad) but i felt them Awesome as i tested them for Top speed run ohh wait i dint tell you that before finishing the ride i took her to Spine road it was was long stretch(7-8 km) road minimal or No traffic- i spot on managed to hit the indicated speed of 180 Km/hr i could have got more of it but i did not. Coming over to the conclusion the vehicle has got the Best in class ride and Handling ( i have driven Elantra as well) the Build Quality is Super strong and sturdy i am in love with it since then. The only thing my uncle said was that this all has a Cost to it(vehicle cost & service) but if you ask me i am ready to empty all my accounts to get her parked in my parking lot and i will.Well this was my experience or review on the skoda Octavia. I bought my Skoda Octavia 1.8 TSI automatic transmission (petrol), Black, this April. So far I must say the journey has been excellent. The vehicle is the fastest in its class and you can really feel the 180PS power when you floor the vehicle. The engine is absolutely smooth coupled with the Tiptronic 7 speed DSG gearbox upshift and downshift is a very pleasant experience. The vehicle is fully loaded with all the luxury features you can ask for from and excellent infotainment system to a complete car monitoring system on the speedometer heads up display. The wipers are automatic rain sensing ones and one of my favourite features is the bi-xenon headlights with dynamic levelling boarded with the AFS (Adaptive Frontlight System) the Light Assistant (Automatic headlight system with light sensor makes) which makes night time driving a pleasure. Steering mounted controls are smooth and the Bluetooth connectivity with any phone and car play with Apple is excellent. The braking system consists of a ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assistant) which can come in handy in sudden braking at high speeds as I can tell you from a personal experience where I had to come down from 140 Kmph to a near halt and the car handled it perfectly. The sports mode is really a lot of fun, as soon as you put the DSG in sports and use the manual steering mounted gears it gets the adrenalin running. Stuff like parking sensors integrated with the infotainment system and rear parking sensors make parking really easy even for ladies. Sunroof and the climatic AC are excellent. Very chic alloys, automatic folding side mirrors and tonnes of boot space add to the value for money. Too many good things to write so what I would suggest is take a visit to the nearest Skoda showroom and ask for a quick look, I am sure you won't be disappointed.   The only down side for the car is that in the city the vehicle gives about 7.6 to 8 KM/L and on the highway it gives about 12 to 12.5 KM/L which is not all that great for an automatic.In conclusion I can say that this vehicle is an excellent buy if you are willing to overlook fuel economy for comfort and features.  

The new Skoda Octavia is probably one of the best cars available in the Indian market as of now. I owned the Ambition 2.0 MT model, which had everything else besides the DSG gearbox, panoramic Sunroof and the projector headlamps. I was content with my car, no complaint whatsoever. The mileage is pretty good for a car this huge, it offers anything between 12-17 kmpl in city and on the highway it gives 18-22 kmpl, depending on the person at the driving wheel. The only thing I missed in my Octavia was the DSG gearbox, but it is available in the higher model.

Look and Style: Good just got better ! Maintains the executive looks but is aggressive enough to be called as a modern looking car Comfort: Ride is good but a bit stiff Pickup: 2.0 TDI rarely runs out of power and doesn't let you down Mileage: it's not as good as it's predecessor but delivers the right mileage , where I get minimum of 16km in the city Best Features:Looks, mileage & reliability Needs to improve: Service facility is pathetic  Overall Experience: Octavia lives up to its legendary name
