KWID 2015-2019 1.0 AMT RXL Review
Renault India, a subsidiary of the French automobile company, has a respectable market share in the country. To further improve its ground in India, it has launched a new hatchback, which is perhaps its least expensive product. Among the variants that this car is released in, Renault Kwid AMT RXL is the mid range version. This trim comes with a range of features including its exterior cosmetics and interior comforts. Starting with the cabin arrangement, there is a simple design theme highlighted by metallic accents. A high end musical system is present for entertainment needs, and it comes with radio, MP3, USB and an array of other benefits. The seats come with reclining and longitudinal adjustment facilitates, promoting convenience for the occupants. In addition to this, there is an auto-on cabin lighting, along with a door map storage with bottle holders as well. Coming to the exterior outfit, this car has been designed for good looks as well as speed capacity. The black door handles and outside mirrors blend into the overall image well, and the attractive wheel rims also support the stylish look. Coming to the performance aspect, it is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine that enables good performance along with fuel efficiency. In addition to this, headrests are present by the front row, and neck rests are present by the rear, adding support to the occupants' heads and necks. The rear seats also have foldable backrests. Premium upholstery covers the seats, and for this variant, there is an 'intense red' coloring theme that adds plushness to the cabin. The driver gets a sporty steering wheel with a leather wrap insert, and the mono tone dashboard by the center is also great looking. Engine and Performance:
The Kwid AMT is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine. It has 3 cylinders and 12 valves incorporated through the double overhead configuration. Coming to specifications, the engine produces a power of 68PS coupled with a torque of 91Nm. The drive-train's power is transferred to the front wheels through an efficient 5 speed manual synchromesh gearbox, which enables smooth shifting and better performance.
Braking and Handling:
For the braking requirements of the car, the company has rigged it with disc units at the front and drums at the rear. Meanwhile, a McPherson strut secures the front axle of the chassis, and it is further assisted with a lower traverse link. For the rear axle of the chassis, there is a twist beam arrangement that comes along with a coil spring for effective handling quality. In addition to this, the car has been gifted with tubeless radials that promote control and stability. Also, the electric power steering also boosts the control level.
Comfort Features:
For this variant, there is a single DIN stereo system that comes along with radio facility and MP3 arrangement as well. A USB port and Aux-In interface ensure that the system can incorporate external devices for an enhanced audio experience.
