Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation is one of the largest car maker in India. It is believed that Maruti Suzuki brought about the automobile revolution in India. This company has crossed the sales of over 10 million vehicles since its augmentation in the Indian car market. Being the leader in the car segment, Maruti Suzuki has been widely known for producing various ranges of cars, from hatchbacks to sedans, SUV's, MUV's. The hatchback segment of Maruti Suzuki is widely appreciated among the Indian consumers.Maruti Ritz is one of the volume puller hatch from the stable of Maruti Suzuki. Maruti Ritz was launched in 2009, and since then it has been receiving accolades for its fabulous design and other techno-equipped features. The elegant and fabulous looking hatch is definitely a head turner for the onlookers. Maruti Ritz is available both in petrol and diesel variants, the top end variant in petrol is Maruti Ritz ZXi . With a stunning and a robust design, the car also offers spacious and roomy interiors that make the passengers feel comfortable and enjoy their drive in a royal manner. Apart from the style and comfort that Maruti Ritz ZXi offers, the makers of this car have kept in mind the safety of its passengers as it comes equipped with features likeair bags, ABS, Central Locking and power safety locks. Maruti Ritz ZXi comes with all new 1.2L, K series engine that has taken the performance of the car in terms of mileage and fuel efficiency to an all new level. The music department of Maruti Ritz ZXi is also quite fascinating as the car comes integrated with audio system. Overall, Maruti Ritz ZXi ia a complete package for those who like to travel safely and comfortably in a king like manner.

Exteriors

The stunning and robust design of Maruti Ritz is definitely a head turner. The car is quite similar to Swift, though it is 90mm taller than it. This helps the driver to have an all round view and enhances the feeling of sportiness. The fog lights are present both at the front and at the rear part that helps in making the vision clear. The body graphics come with aerodynamic efficiency i.e. the roof line flows very beautifully into the rear windows that give a sense of pleasure and joy. The low coefficient of drag ensures better mileage and a convenient drive even at a high speed. The headlamps look stunning and give a fresh feeling. The chrome finished logo is placed exactly in the middle of the hatch that marks the trust and faith in the company. The well integrated wheel arches and the crease lines at the side gives an amazing look. The boomerang style lights at the rear part give it a fabulous look .

Interiors

The interiors of Maruti Ritz ZXi are quite spacious and give a majestic feel to the passengers. However, a tall person will feel crumpled seating at the rear end, as the leg room space is less. The dual toned dashboard looks royal. The fabric upholstery adorned on the seats gels well with the ambience of the Maruti Ritz ZXi. The highlighted cabin lights both at the centre and at the front give the car a shining look. The instrument panel is fully equipped with electronic- multi trip meter, tachometer, digital clock. Another convenient feature that Ritz offers is that the audio controls are mounted on the power steering wheel. Also, there is a lot of storage space available to store the basic essentials. The extraordinary feature that puts Maruti Ritz ZXi class apart is the spacious head room and that it offers.

Engine Performance

The all new Maruti Ritz ZXi is powered by KB series engine with a displacement of 1197cc. The 1.2L four cylinder engine has 4 valves each translating to a overall of 16 valves. This K series petrol engine churns out maximum power of 83.8bhp@6000rpm and maximum torque of 113Nm@4500rpm. With the increasing pollution day by day, the makers of Ritz have kept a check as to not use harmful substances like Chromium, Cadmium. The Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) system ensures that the fuel is burning efficiently. Another plus point in this amalgamation is the presence of DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) that ensures that higher torque is delivered by reducing the friction which helps in increasing the durability of the engine. Maruti Ritz has already been declared India's first BS IV emission car. If we compare the performance of Ritz and Ford Figo then Ritz is a far better option as even a lower displacement engine in Ritz churns a higher power and torque. With outstanding mileage of 14.5kmpl in cities and 18kmpl on highways, Maruti Ritz ZXi falls class apart when compared to its competitors.

Braking and Handling

Maruti Ritz ZXi offers a very sound and dynamic braking system . The front wheels come packed with ventilated disc brakes whereas the rear wheels come with drum brakes. The front suspension is of the type Mc Pherson Strut with coil spring whereas the rear suspension is of the type Torsion Beam and Coil Spring. The Anti Lock Braking (ABS) system helps in preventing wheel lock up in case of occurrence of unwanted surprises on roads. The electronically assisted rack and pinion steering wheel ensures a smooth handing.

Safety Features

Maruti Ritz ZXi has a lot to offer in terms of safety features. The presence of central locking ensures the overall protection of the car. Adding more to the safety features are the power door locks as well as the child safety locks. The presence of dual air bags makes sure that there is a cushion like membrane that keeps you secure at the time of collision. Also, the rear view day and night mirrors ensure passengers travel safely. The side and front impact beams help in making the vision more clear for the driver when the environment is foggy. The seat belts present both at the front and at the rear part helps in minimizing shocks that may occur. The engine immobilizer ensures that the car does not become hot unnecessarily.

Comfort Features

The passengers can definitely travel with a majestic and splendid feeling in Maruti Ritz ZXi because of the high class comfort features that it offers. The presences of AC helps in making the environment home like and cool even in bright sunny days. The multi function steering wheel ensures that all the functions are in easy reach of the driver. The power windows are present both at the front and the rear part. The comfort of the passengers is widely enhanced with the presence of height adjustable seats.
