Verdict
Overall the MG Gloster is an impressive SUV. The interior quality is almost flawless and the comfortable seats and spacious cabin makes it a fantastic car to spend time in. Then there is Gloster’s long list of safety features which can even put some cars twice its price to shame. Even the twin-turbo diesel engine and 8-speed auto gearbox combo works really well be it in the city or out on the highway and the comfortable ride results in a car you can spend long hours in. What we expected to be better however is the fuel efficiency which is disappointingly low as compared to its rivals. We expect the Gloster to cost in between Rs 34 lakh for the base and Rs 38 lakh for this top Savvy variant. If priced close to the Endeavour and Fortuner, MG definitely has a potential winner in the Gloster.

The highest feature offered in this segment and better than Fortuner but fuel economy is a little low. I will definitely recommend it over Fortuner. Latest Update: MG has revealed new connected car features of the updated Gloster ahead of its launch on August 31.
MG Gloster Price: The Gloster is priced from Rs 31.50 lakh to Rs 39.50 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
MG Gloster Variants: It can be had in four trims: Super, Smart, Sharp, and Savvy.
MG Gloster Seating Capacity: The Gloster gets both 6- and 7-seater configurations.
MG Gloster Engine and Transmission: MG has equipped it with a 2-litre turbo (163PS/375Nm) and a 2-litre twin-turbo diesel (218PS/480Nm), both paired to an 8-speed automatic. The 2-litre turbo-diesel powertrain sends power to the rear wheels, while the 2-litre twin-turbo diesel gets a 4-wheel drivetrain.
MG Gloster Features: The Gloster’s features list comprises a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, three-zone climate control with a PM2.5 filter, panoramic sunroof, and a 12-way adjustable driver seat with memory function.
