Latest Update: Mercedes-Benz has launched the GLB SUV in India. It gets both petrol and diesel engine options along with an all-wheel drivetrain.
Price: Prices for the Mercedes-Benz GLB range from Rs 63.8 lakh to Rs 69.8 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan-India).
Seating Capacity: The GLB is offered in a seven-seater layout.
Engine and Transmission: The GLB gets both petrol and diesel engine options including a 1.3-litre petrol engine (making 163PS and 250Nm) and a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine (190PS and 400Nm). The petrol engine is paired with a seven-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic), while the diesel unit gets a nine-speed automatic transmission. The SUV can be had in both front-wheel drive and a 4MATIC all-wheel drivetrain.
Features: Mercedes has equipped the GLB with two 10.25-inch displays (driver’s display and infotainment touchcreen), power-adjustable front seats with memory function, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof.
Safety: Passenger safety is ensured by multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC) and ADAS features.
Rivals: Mercedes-Benz GLB squares off against the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3.
