Typical Mercedes Interior with ambient lights surroundings which gives a premium feel especially in night drives, you'll love it. What features does the Mercedes-Benz GLB get?
The GLB is a feature-rich car like the other Mercedes offerings. Highlights include two 10.25-inch displays (one for the driver’s display and the other for the touchscreen). It also has power-adjustable front seats with memory function, a wireless phone charger, dual-zone auto AC, ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof.
How spacious is the GLB?
The Mercedes-Benz GLA offers decent space for two six-footers to sit back to back. Furthermore, the rear seats come with a sliding and reclining functionality to improve comfort levels. But based on our experience, we did feel them to be a tad upright to our liking. Bits such as rear seat AC vents and type-C charging ports add to the rear seat experience.
What engine and transmission options are available with the GLB?
The Mercedes-Benz GLB is available with both petrol and diesel engine options, the specifications of which are as follows:

A 1.3-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 163PS and 250Nm. It is mated exclusively with a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission). It is available in only a front-wheel-drive setup.

A 2-litre diesel engine that churns out 190PS and 400Nm mated with an 8-speed DCT. It is available in both front-wheel-drive (FWD) and four-wheel-drive (4WD) configurations.
How safe is the Mercedes-Benz GLB?
The current-spec Mercedes-Benz GLB was crash-tested by Euro NCAP in 2019 where it scored a 5-star safety rating.
In terms of safety features, it has multiple airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It also has advanced driver assistance (ADAS) features features like active brake assist and parking assist.

Should you buy the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB?
The current-spec Mercedes-Benz GLB was launched in 2022 and is expected to receive a facelift next year. In terms of its design, it follows the previous generation design of the German marque, but that does not mean that it isn’t a looker. It has a boxy design, a muscular stance and a good road presence. The feature suite is also decent. It gets both petrol and diesel options and even a 4WD option which makes it a versatile choice.
On the other hand, as it is an import, its price is at a premium and feels lesser value for money as it feels outdated. Our opinion would be to wait for some time and go ahead with the facelifted model that is expected to be offered next year.
