Latest Update: The new Suzuki S-Cross has been revealed in its European-spec avatar. However, the new S-Cross will not come to India as Maruti will soon be introducing the Grand Vitara as its new compact SUV.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Engine and Transmission: The new S-Cross for the European buyers will come with a mild-hybrid petrol powertrain. It comprises a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 48-volt SHVS system to increase fuel economy and aid acceleration. This powertrain’s output is rated at 129PS and 235Nm with choices of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. It also features Suzuki’s ALLGRIP SELECT all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, operated via a dial behind the gear selector. The carmaker has also stated that there will be a strong-hybrid powertrain for the Europe-spec S-Cross in 2022.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Features: Suzuki has equipped the Euro-spec model with a panoramic sunroof, nine-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, and dual-zone climate control.
