Mahindra Thar 5-Door Car Latest Update
Latest Update: The Mahindra Thar 5-door's interior has been captured on camera this time, almost confirming the availability of ADAS on board.
Launch: It could be launched by August 2024.
Price: Mahindra’s elongated Thar is expected to have a starting price of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Engine and Transmission: The 5-door Thar will get the same engines as its 3-door version: 2-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine, though tuned slightly differently. These engines should be offered with both 6-speed manual transmission and automatic transmissions. Mahindra is expected to offer the 5-door Thar with both RWD and 4WD configurations.
Features: Features on board the 5-door Thar will include LED headlights and LED DRLs, it could also get a bigger touchscreen infotainment, a digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents and push button start/stop over the existing features of the 3-door Thar.
Safety: In terms of passenger safety, it could get up to six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child-seat anchors.
Rivals: The 5-door Thar will rival the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the 5-door Force Gurkha.
