- Improved ride comfort: Toyota has taken a good amount of sharpness out of the ride, most noticeably in the front row.
- Effortless engine: The proven 2.8-litre diesel is torquey and relaxed, now paired with a smoother, more polished automatic.
- Serious off-road hardware: Ladder-frame chassis, low-range 4x4, rear diff lock and a full suite of traction electronics.

BYD Atto 3
- BYD’s limited dealer/service network.
- Quirky interior design might not be to everyone’s taste.
