After the Aspire, it was time for the second-gen Figo to receive its midlife update These updates usually address major issues plaguing pre-facelift models. So, what could be the need of the hour for the Figo? A heart transplant? Yes, the petrol-powered pre-facelift Figo was uninspiring and lethargic, unlike its diesel counterpart with a drool-worthy punchy engine. To counter that, Ford has now introduced its new Dragon family of petrol engines in the updated Figo along with some minor styling and feature updates. Are these changes enough to put the Figo back as an option worth considering? We took the updated Figo for a spin in sunny Jodhpur to find out.

Things We Like

- A good value-packed safe package with a long equipment list.
- Comfortable ride quality gobbles up potholes and broken surfaces.
Things We Don't Like
- Missing feel-good features such as projector headlamps, daytime running lamps.
- Major miss: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, features that all its arch rivals offer.
- Rear headroom continues to be an issue, especially for those around six feet tall.

Ford Figo Car Latest Update
Latest Update: Ford has announced that it will stop production of its locally sold models. That said, the current lineup of Ford will be on sale till stocks last and the company will continue to offer support to existing Ford car owners.
Ford Figo Price: Ford has priced the Figo between Rs 5.82 lakh and Rs 8.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Ford Figo Variants: It is offered in four trims: Ambiente, Titanium, Titanium+, and Titanium Blu.
Ford Figo Engine and Transmission: Ford has equipped it with a 1.2-litre petrol (96PS/119Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (100PS/215Nm) engines. Both get a 5-speed manual, with only the petrol getting an optional 6-speed automatic. The Figo’s mileage figures are 18.5kmpl for petrol and 24.4kmpl for diesel. The AT variants return 16kmpl.
Ford Figo Features: It gets FordPass connected car tech, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, and push-button start/stop. The top-spec Titanium Blue also comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and sporty design elements.
Ford Figo Safety: The Figo’s safety kit includes up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
Ford Figo Rivals: It rivals the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and Renault Triber.
