Audi has launched the SQ8 SUV in India as the newest performance-oriented variant of Audi’s flagship Q8 SUV lineup The SQ8 positions itself between the standard Audi Q8 and the range-topping Audi RS Q8. Since it is positioned between the two, it offers the perfect blend of luxury, everyday usability, and serious V8 performance into one sophisticated package.

The SQ8 is one of the most exciting luxury performance SUVs, while also catering to family needs. It is one of the few SUVs to offer supercar-like acceleration in a practical SUV body style.

The Audi SQ8 features a design that looks instantly familiar to the Q8, but incorporates several distinctive details that give it a sportier and more aggressive presence.

The grille is flanked by striking LED Matrix headlights that enhance both visibility and visual drama. The dashboard layout is identical to the standard Q8, featuring Audi’s signature dual-screen setup. It features a large 10.1-inch infotainment display along with a similarly sized lower touchscreen that controls climate and other vehicle settings. In addition, the driver gets a fully digital 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit display that shows performance data along with S-specific graphics.

The cabin also features stainless steel pedals, an aluminium footrest, and illuminated aluminium door sills that add to the sporty ambience. Moreover, you also get sports seats that can be customized as per your preference.

The Audi SQ8 is powered by a powerful 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. This engine produces 507 hp and 770 Nm of torque, making it significantly more powerful than the standard Audi Q8 while sitting just below the power figures of the Audi RS Q8.

The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels via Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. This system allows the SQ8 to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds. These are numbers that are close to supercar-level performance, that too in a family SUV.
