    Tata Indica Vista D90 Xtreme SUV Concept Unveiled, Launch by 2013 End

    The Indian auto major, Tata Motors that rolled out the all new Vista D90 hatchback yesterday at a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh, also unveiled a compact SUV concept based on the Vista, called as the Vista D90 Xtreme, which will compete against the likes of Renault Duster, Quanto and upcoming Ford EcoSport.

    Based on the platform of Indica Vista, the D90 Xtreme crossover's suspension has been raised by 25mm and features the 'Rough-Road Package', which is an off-roading package. What makes the D90 Xtreme attractive is the rear mounted spare wheel (hinged to the rear bumper), which gives it a true SUV like feel.

    Indica Vista D90 Xtreme compact SUV has received some major changes both inside and out,it now has revamped dampers to increase the rear suspension, black side skirts, 16 inches alloy wheels, black painted roof, dual tone bumper, making it look genuinely sporty. While inside the cabin, the black leather seats with yellow stitching are offered, and are so spacious with a plenty of thigh and lumbar support. Moreover, the car receives an aluminium gear knob, aluminium pedals and door levers are in satin silver finish.

    The company informs that the engine too has been tuned for better performance, however it retains the same 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine. The already powerful 1.3-litre fiat sourced engine gets even more powerful, it now churns out the maximum of 104bhp (improvement of around 13-14bhp).
