Maruti Suzuki Increases Prices upto Rs 31,600

Following the footsteps of other carmakers, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has also announced price hike across its model lineup upto Rs. 31,600. The manufacturer has increased its prices in accordance with the withdrawal of excise duty concessions and rising input costs in production.

India’s leading passenger carmaker has hiked the prices in the range of Rs 7,850 to Rs 31,600. The automaker’s largest selling car Alto is now dearer by Rs 8,500 to Rs 12,700 while the tall boy WagonR sees a hike of Rs 12,500 to Rs 15,700. Similarly, the Swift hatch gets an increase of Rs 15,850 to Rs 25,150. Prices of Omni van saw an increase of Rs 7,850 while the compact sedan DZire gets dearer in the price range of Rs 17,500 to Rs 26,650. 

Prices of both C’s-Celerio and Ciaz also saw a step increase. Celerio gets hike of Rs 13,600 to Rs 17,200 while the mid size sedan Ciaz's price increased in the range of Rs 22,450 to Rs 31,600. Ertiga did not remain immune to this hike and got dearer from Rs 18,750 to Rs 27,750.

Prior to Maruti Suzuki’s price hike, Hyundai, Honda and General Motors also increased their prices in concern with the increased excise duty sops. General Motors has hiked the prices across its product portfolio by up to Rs 20,000 while Honda India has increased prices by upto Rs 60,000.
