Exclusive: Tata Zest and Bolt launch in June, 2014
The homegrown brand Tata Motors is getting aggressive to recover its lost grounds and it already showcased a whole new range of products during 2014 Auto Expo. According to a close industry source, the manufacturer is planning to launch the two most appreciated products, the compact sedan Zest and premium hatch Bolt in June, 2014.

With the introduction of features such as 5-inch touchscreen HARMAN infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and phone-enabled navigation as MapmyIndia gives Tata cars an edge over its contemporary rivals. The hatch will be put against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 while in case of compact sedan Zest, the competition is against Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.The cars are expected to be in the price bracket to Rs 5 to 7 lakh.
The cars will be offered in both the fuel trims with company's latest development 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged intercooled MPFi petrol engine and Fiat's tried and tested 1.3-litre, Quadrajet diesel engine. The Revotron petrol engine develops a power of 84bhp while the diesel engine churns a power of 89 bhp. Tata Zest's diesel variant will be offered with first-in-class F-Tronic technology enabled five-speed automated manual transmission.
