Toyota Camry Hybrid - A Glimpse of Future -

After Driving numerous cars I have had got the pleasure to test drive the new Toyota Camry Hybrid, Camry is always known for its plushness, luxury, space and comparability but this time the package comes with as extra pie in the form of Hybrid Synergy Drive.The car was fun to drive very smooth and silent(obviously it gets the power from a 2.5 l (VVTi) Belt less petrol engine along with generating 160 PS @ 5700 rpm and Torque of 213 NM @ 4500 rpm along with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor developing 143 PS and 270 NM of Torque every time the motor kicks in, the engine is based on Atkinson cycle to further increase the efficiency of the engine. The power is transferred to front wheels via E-CVT ( Electronically Controlled Variable Transmission system) while driving in city traffic most of the time the car is on battery (motor) mode and the engine usage is very less hence it provides exceptionally fuel efficiency in city driving especially in start stop conditions, while driving on highways it never let you down as the on demand full surge of power is available when gas paddle is pressed hardly ( Both engine and motor combined to provide the best of both worlds)Some of the USP of the Camry Hybrid:-1.
