Comparison: Toyota Etios Cross Vs Fiat Avventura

We Indians love SUVs; we drool over any vehicle with the mildest hint of SUV-ism and would love to own true blue SUVs except for the price deterrent. Most SUVs are expensive and out of budget for the average buyer which makes us drift towards pseudo SUVs or soft roaders or any vehicle with an SUV badge within budget. This obsession has resulted in manufacturers trying to tempt us furthermore by introducing crossovers in the market. Crossover as the name suggests is a cross between a sedan/hatchb

I bought this car 2 years ago and I am too much happy with its comfort. Earlier I was owing to a Maruti Alto800 which was again a good hatchback. When I bought cross I thought this is expensive hatchback but when I am driving it now it seems to be a good investment along with awesome various services like road side assistance, pick up and drop from service centers etc.Read More

Toyota Etios- More than full VFM

The Toyota Etios is an absolutely wonderful family car. The car may be down-to-earth in the looks department but the running of the car is smooth as "maska", no jerks and no jolts. The steering of the car is very easy and light enough for even a young girl to drive comfortably. The car can be very easily turned around even in small places. Etios gives an excellent mileage. The storage place (dicky) is amazingly large for a car so small. It can take 2 large suitcases and one medium sized bag, besides the spare wheel and the regular maintenance kit. The driver?s seat is adjustable for height. The driver?s seat and the front passenger?s seat can be adjusted for movement to the front or behind. The backrest for the driver?s seat and the front passenger?s seat can be adjusted. The passenger seat at the back can comfortably accommodate 3 passengers. The leg space between the front and rear seats is sufficient for even a 6? tall person to sit in comfort. The interior of the car is homely with nothing fancy. The music system is very neat looking with excellent sound quality. The USB facility is helpful for listening to music stored on a pen-drive. The Air conditioner is excellent with three adjustable speeds. The air vents are placed at the right places so that even in the warm summer months of March to September, the rear passengers can feel the cool air conditioner breeze comfortably. The car?s maintenance cost is very small, roughly about Rs 4000 per annum for a once a year check-up and maintenance. The range of colour options provided by Toyota for the Etios model is also very good. In my view the white colour Etios and the sliver coloured Etios are the most popular, as seen on the road. I have a sliver coloured car which even after 3 years gives a nice and bright shine. The height of the car with reference to the road is reasonably good so that while clearing speed breakers, the car doesn?t graze the speed breaker. Considering the on-road price of Rs 7 lacs approx for the car in Mumbai, it is more than a full value-for-money car.Read More
