13th - Sept - 2011 : Skoda, Czech car maker which is also a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, will soon introduce another sedan - Skoda Lauretta in India. The new sedan by Skoda will be more like upcoming car Skoda Rapid and will be highly inspired by its looks and features. As per reports, both the Skoda Rapid and Skoda Lauretta in turn will inherit looks and feel from the Skoda Design concept unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011. It is also expected that the Skoda Lauretta will also take some exterior dimensions from Skoda Fabia and sibling Volkswagen Vento. It is also called as Skoda Laura junior.
Skoda Lauretta is expected to be built on MissionL Design Concept that Skoda unveiled just before the IAA 2011. It is the sixth model line. As per reports, Europe, Russia and China will see the finished product in 2012. However, as per Skoda international India will witness a compact sedan version based on the MissionL design concept by the 2011 end probably October. This new compact sedan will in all probability be Skoda Lauretta.
