Renault Scala Maintenance Cost

I have a top-end Diesel Scala and is driven by my family is a Tier 2 town. +ves Elegant Design : Scala has adorable cuts and curves - the French elements of design on the Japanese platform has given us a perfect blend of glitz with class. Boot Space is decent, it cozies up all passengers and can easily take 3 in the backseat. Reliability : 15 months into ownership and the only expenditure has been the regular maintenance service- which cost almost nothing. All parts, fabric and switch gear are in place and looks brand new and glossy. Engine is calm and doesn't disturb the cabin - it feels a touch slow from the accelerator response but you can see that you pick up pace very easily whether on traffic or highways. Suspension and Comfort levels are 5 star. I drive it only during my vacation visits to home, but it is incredible how the Scala adjusts to the twisties and bad roads of Kerala. With almost no stretch of long roads, Scala feels a little over-powered for the routes I drive around, but the ride is always comfortable. Yes, it wasn't the most updated mid-sized sedan , but it is priced well for the top end diesel variant. Renaults are VFM and are 5% cheaper than the corresponding Nissans. Lack of navigations, touch screen is a concern, but can always be made up for, with your mobile device. A neat buy for any family with the head member 35-40+ in age. Don't go for the outright loud looks of all too common City , buy the nicer Scala. Treat Scala as a stretch from your compact sedan budget, not as a midsize sedan in terms of pricing/features. Look and Style : Apperently the car is just Awesome in its look and very stylish. It makes people turn their head when passed through. Comfort: Very specious car. You wont get tired if you go on a long trip. Very relaxing and comfortable car. Pickup: Compared to other car its amazing. Mileage: Milage in city is 17 to 18 and on Highway its 21 kmpl. Best Features: Feature wise its good. Needs to improve: Upgrade their Music System. Overall Experience: Delivers more than expected. Will give advice to buy this car if you looking for all aspect. Value for money. Service is also very good of Renault Karnavati, Ahmedabad. People are very helpful and honest.

Quite staisfactory- I do understand the reason for people being reluctant in going for this car. Reason 1- New car, dont know how it would be?- Absolutely great, stands out amongst its competitors. Mileage , Leg space, boot space way ahead. Pick up not bad at all. Another reason- After sales service- well, I did receive calls from Renault Pune, asking for a feedback- showing clear indications how comiiteed they are towards improving themselves as far as customer feedback is concerned.Also my first servicing is done and I did visit the service centre. It was equipped with all the latest ammenities and also there ws tranperancy in the system. I feel, absolutely no issues, its totally worth the money.   Cheers.

We bought the Renault Scala Diesel RXL version after lot of comparisons and reviews. But I guess we have made the right choice.  The Scala in Blue colour look fabulous. The colour is pretty distinct and looks stylish.  The interiors are very spacious and comfortable with ample leg and head room. Several experts opine that the suspensions of Scala are very good and they are true as the ride feels comfortable even on bumpy Indian roads.  The trunk of the Car is huge and excellent for travel excursions. You can fit in 2 largest size bags or else two kids can comforatbly sleep !! The Diesel engine is powerful, handling is pretty smooth. Overall if you are planning to buy a Diesel Sedan, Scala might not be a bad choice. Renault already has presence in major cities of India and has plans to extend dealership across 100 more cities in coming years. Hence the ppl fearing lack of service dont have to worry. Go for it !!  

Value for money, Hi friends, I got this car oct 2012.Drove around 15,000km gives me a mileage of 21 km/l in city!!! decent pick up,highly comfortable,good ground clearance. But the dealers are horrible-TVS group in Kerala. I paid the entire amount before i got the car and had to wait for 25 days to get my car!!!(my car loan had already started by thn), Their service is horrible,they dont keep their word. FINAL SAY- CAR IS AWESOME BUT DEALER IS HORRIBLE( SO IM GONNA HAVE TOUGH TIME WITH THE SERVICE AND SPARE PARTS)
