It will be a mid range trim and is being called as Tata Sumo Gold FX , which is further made available with BS-IV diesel engine option. The company has launched the all new Tata Sumo Gold FX BSIV variant at a very competitive price, which will surely improve the company's sales in the auto market. Tata Sumo Gold FX is the launched with the same 3.0-litre engine that is known for producing great power and mileage. This new SUV gets upgrades in terms of both exteriors, interiors and its mechanics as well. This will make the all new Tata Sumo Gold as a better looking and a better performing utility vehicle in the segment. This SUV will compete with the likes of Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra Scorpio and few others in the segment.

Exteriors:

The all new Tata Sumo Gold FX trim gets minor cosmetic updates that makes it a better looking SUV compared to its previous model. To start with the front fascia of this powerful SUV, it gets a redesigned front radiator grille that brings a refreshing new look. The radiator grille has been fitted with a horizontal chrome slat, which is further integrated with “GOLD” badging. The grille is further equipped with a stylish company logo right in the middle of the grille. At the bottom it has been fitted with a body colored bumper with integrated round shaped fog lights and an air dam. The design of the bumper is a bit sporty that brings a macho kind of a look to the front facade. The side profile of this SUV gets a new designer decal body graphics that adds more style to this high performance SUV. The company has equipped the wheel arches with a new design 15 inch wheels, which are further fitted with a newly designed wheel caps. The side profile of this vehicle also gets a stylish body colored external rear view mirrors with integrated indicator blinkers. Interiors:

Tata Motors has not just improved the exteriors and mechanism of the Tata Sumo Gold but it has also revamped the interior design as well. The company is offering this SUV with premium fabric upholstery along with some additional features inside. Now it gets a dual AC for extra cooling inside the cabin along with several other features inside. Apart from these, there are several other noticeable features offered inside this SUV that include a stylish instrument cluster with Trip Odometer, low fuel indicator, door trims with fabric upholstery, soft feel steering wheel, sporty gear knob, tinted glasses and several more. The entire interior design of the new Tata Sumo Gold FX is improved compared to the previous model. There is a huge space inside this SUV, which can accommodate at least seven passengers inside.

The all new Tata Sumo Gold FX variant gets a powerful 3.0-litre, CR4 diesel engine that has a displacing capacity of 2956cc. This powerful diesel engine can produce a superior power of about 83.3bhp at 3000rpm and makes a torque of about 250Nm at 1600 to 2000rpm. This engine comes with Bharat Stage IV emission compliance and it is coupled with an advanced 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. This will further boost the superior performance of the engine make it as one of the most fuel efficient SUVs in its class. The company claims that the all new Tata Sumo Gold FX can produce a superior mileage of about 15.3 Kmpl, which is the best in its class. On the other side, its high performance engine is assisted by a high performance 260mm clutch that boost the ability of the engine.

Braking and Handling:

Braking and handling aspects are the most significant features for any SUV, especially for powerful SUVs like Tata Sumo Gold. The company is offering the all new Tata Sumo Gold FX with superior braking and handling mechanism. Its front wheel comes fitted with disc braking mechanism while its rear wheels comes with high performance drum brakes type of mechanism. On the other side, this powerful SUV has been fitted with double wishbone type of suspension system with integrated coil spring & anti-roll bar mechanism that keeps this SUV stable and well balanced.
