This celebrated passenger car manufacturer,Tata Motors, which is well known for its innovative automobiles, was especially appreciated for the launch of their Nano series. Ever since its inception, this model has been undergoing many developments and has been surprising the markets with every appearance. It is available in petrol and CNG versions and this variant, Tata Nano CNG XM falls under the latter offering. The concept of this small car is to have all the necessary features that a car can offer at a minimal affordable price in the Indian markets. This vision has been served quite well by packing 80-litres of cargo volume along with a spacious cabin with quite an amount of comfort features. The external image is decorated well with fashionable front grille in smiley shape, petal shaped headlamps and a trendy airdam at the rear. The mileage of this variant is one of the major advantages in picking this trim out of all other offerings in this segment. It has a fuel economy of about 36 Km/Kg. Exteriors:

There are fog lamps which are given a premium design. The front windshield is broad and this results in wider visibility. The black B-pillar adds trendiness to the side profile. The rear end has a bumper which is edgy and the tailgate too looks stylish. The tail lamps are horizontal and there is a company emblem integrated in chrome onto the tailgate.

Interiors:

The insides are decorated well with decent elements. It has seats that are spongy and the covers are in fabric. The dashboard is done up with soft touch beige that adds to its neat look. This cabin can accommodate about four occupants and has legroom and shoulder space sufficient enough to keep them comfortable. An air-conditioning unit is integrated for the regulation of the cabin temperature. A vanity mirror is fixed for the passenger side sun visor. In the instrument cluster, a low-fuel warning lamp is offered.

Engine and Performance:

It is equipped with a water-cooled engine that can displace about 624cc. It has two cylinders and four valves which are based on a single overhead camshaft valve system. A multi point fuel injection fuel supply system is integrated into this small car, which allows it to deliver a mileage of 36 Km/Kg. It can produce a maximum power of around 32.5bhp at a rate of 5500rpm and can generate a peak torque output of around 45Nm at 3500rpm. On the other hand, in the petrol mode, it can produce 37.5bhp at 5250rpm and a torque output of 51Nm at 4000rpm.

Braking and Handling:

This variant is endowed with a superior suspension, where its front axle consists of an independent lower wishbone, McPherson strut with with gas filled dampers and an anti-roll bar. While on the other hand, the rear axle has an independent, semi trailing arm with coil spring and gas filled shock absorbers. When it comes to the braking mechanism, it has been integrated with a dual circuit, vertical split, which is operated by tandem master cylinder with vacuum booster. Its front and rear wheels are fitted with drum brakes of size 180mm. It has manual steering type and the turning radius of the steering wheel is 4-meters. A four speed gear box is equipped into this trim.

Comfort Features:

Good amount of furnishing has been offered to this variant, which will ensure in considerable comfort to all the passengers. The front seats are fitted with headrests which offer support to the neck and head of the front occupants. There is a cabin lamp as a standard feature. A visor is fixed for driver and co-driver too. The driver seat has slider function and the rear seat bench has foldable facility, which will serve in increasing the boot space. The seat belts have height adjustable function available to them. The storage capacity on the inside comprise of map pockets in the doors, cup holders in the front console and a glove box.

Safety and Security:

This section is embedded with multiple features that ensure surety for the passengers protection as well as for the vehicle. Seat belts are fitted to all seats which will safeguard the rear seat passengers from hitting themselves to the front seats and the front seat occupants from hitting to the dashboard.
