Porsche Boxster GTS review

Porsche is a name that has gathered marvel from far and wide, a brand that has stood tall among all others for almost a hundred years. Their latest achievement comes in the form of a compact two seater roadster, the Boxster. The latest version of the spectacular Porsche Boxster presents in three variants, and among these, the top end variant, designed for the best performance, is the GTS. It is equipped with a 3.4-litre, flat-six engine like few others this company has modeled before. It steams the roads with a power of 330hp, and a maximum torque of 370Nm. The revolutionary design of this machine lets it zoom past the 100kmph mark in just 5 seconds. The machine can climb to top speeds of around 281kmph, probably one of the more formidable vehicles to be set loose on the roads. Besides its thrilling performance capacity, this is a vehicle that is built to bring the most homely of ride experiences one could ask for. Its interiors are molded with the most expensive touch, going out of the way to bring the best elements into its design. It has high grade Alcantara designed interiors, one of the finest upholstery used for cars. The seats are large and delicately modeled, ensuring that the passengers are kept at the highest realm of comfort. An advanced CDR audio system and a unique communication management system elevate the experience that one has inside of this car to the very highest, with nothing left compromised. Turning to the vehicle's softer side, it has a exterior format that evokes the highest disciplines its engineering. It is made with an aerodynamic stealth in its shape. A low, streamlined profile grants it the supremacy it deserves on the roads, and at the same time, brings an eye catching appearance to it.

The vehicle is crafted with the most elegant hands, designed to strike a powerful, attractive poise. The two doored convertible has a foldable roof that is meant to be stored in the trunk when not in use. It is made with a low, ground gripping profile that brings it agility when cruising, and also adds flavor to its gritty appearance. It has a distinctively designed front end, with largely dimensioned air intakes that are built in geometrical harmony. The front lamps are round and imposing in build, incorporated with GTS specific smoked daytime running lights, and LED lights. Bi-Xenon headlights are also fitted with the front headlamp cluster, taking the lighting system over its standard requirements. The black inner trims complete the headlights, giving it the well deserved touch of grandeur to finish its make. The flawless metallic skin that the vehicle wears seems to be beyond human make, smooth on every stitch of the vehicle's outer cover.

The insides of this vehicle is designed for the most energetic of atmospheres to go along with the ride. An expensive Alcantara finish decorates the cabin, filling it in the most exalting of environments. In addition to this, a stylish black leather finish coats the lower section of the dashboard, the doors, the lid of the center console storage compartment, the steering wheel and the gear selector. The seats are large and well cushioned, ensuring that the high speed cruising capacity that the vehicle offers is balanced by a soothing, comfortable ride. The seats have headrests branded with the striking 'GTS' logo. Prominent seat side bolsters and sporty firm padding grant support for the passengers at all times.

Engine and Performance:

The Porsche Boxster GTS is armed with a 3.4-litre, flat-six cylinder based engine, a rare engineering innovation that gifts this vehicle. It is integrated with the direct fuel injection for the finest performance possible. The powerplant has a displacement capacity of 3436cc, making this one of the most capable machines on the streets. It products a maximum power of 330bhp, and this, together with a peak torque of 370Nm, gives this ride a boost in speed like no other. In addition to these figures, the engine has been specifically modeled for a lightweight construction to cut down the burden for the vehicle. All put together, the engine allows this car to go whooshing past all other compatriots on the roads, reaching a top speed of 281kmph, and smashing past the 100kmph barrier within 5 seconds.

Braking and Handling:

The massive speed capacity of this machine is matched and guarded by great control. It has an advanced braking system that completes all needs of the vehicle's handling, ensuring the highest stability during the drive. Advanced four-piston aluminum monobloc fixed calipers equip the front front and rear brakes, with discs that are internally vented and cross-drilled for the very best quality in their performance. The vehicle's suspension system is also refined for the very best. It has lightweight spring-strut suspension, integrated with a regulated shock absorber system. Going beyond all these conventional measures, the machine also taps into technological means for the best control in its driving. It has a unique innovation incorporated in its mechanism, known as the Porsche active suspension management. This is an electronic system that helps to to upgrade handling, and to preserve the best control on all road surfaces and conditions. In addition to this, it has another optional electronic aid system known as the Porsche torque vectoring. This is a mechanism designed to further improve performance by easing out the cornering capacity of the vehicle, and making it easier to taken on hairpin turns.

Comfort Features:

In addition to the luxurious materials that layer the inside of the vehicle, numerous other features of accessory are available within the cabin. It has an advanced CDR audio system with a 7-inch touchscreen. It is complete with a CD radio with FM twin tuner, dynamic autostore and speed sensitive volume control. It has an AUX interface in the glove compartment that allows external devices to be integrated into it. An optional Porsche communication management system is also available, giving the driver a far more insightful experience into audio, communication and navigation systems. The optional BOSE Surround Sound System seals the ride quality with the most intense of audio experiences.

Safety Features:

This is a design innovation that addresses high performance, and all other necessities that come along with it as well. Safety of the highest is assured with the advanced engineering that the Porsche Boxster GTS is built to exact. The bodywork is designed for optimum safety, with a stiff formation that resists impacts, along with dual roll-over protection. The Porsche Side Impact Protection System guards this vehicle throughout, with steel side impact protection elements integrated into the body design. The engine's formidable capacity is stabilized with the efficient brake calipers. Beside all this, it has electronic controls that ensure stability, when driving, such as Porsche active suspension management. The vehicle is also complete on all safety standards. It has tight seatbelts meant for wrapping the passengers with the utmost security. In addition to this, airbags shield them from all sides, in case of emergency situations. Going past all conventional measures, it has a reversing camera that prevents mishaps when parking or driving in reverse. The dashboard is incorporated to have a display for speed limit, so that the driver keeps tabs with where the vehicle is going.
