Wagon R is one of the largest selling hatchback models present in the market today. During this festive season, the company has added two new variants in its lineup. It has also included safety elements like dual front airbags as well as ABS in its mid range trim named Maruti Wagon R VXI Optional. There are also other attributes like driver seat belt warning lamp, rear defogger, and high mount stop lamp for enhancing security. This particular trim is equipped with a 1.0-litre petrol drive train that is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission gear box. Talking about exteriors, it has been developed with the “tall boy” design in mind. It carries remarkable features like blue tinted headlamps, wide bumpers, stylish tail gate and crystal effect tail lamps. On the inside, there are well cushioned seats with integrated headrests. The car maker has fitted it with a lightweight 1.0-litre petrol engine that is compliant with Bharat Stage IV standard emission norms. It comes with a displacement capacity of 998cc. This is a 3 cylinder mill that carries 12 valves and paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It can produce 67.06bhp at 6200rpm and a peak torque of 90Nm at 3500rpm. This motor returns a mileage of around 17.08 Kmpl on city roads and 20.51 Kmpl on the highways. This can accelerate from 0 to 100 Kmph in about 18 to 19 seconds besides attaining a top speed of nearly 152 Kmph.

Braking and Handling:

Its braking system is highly reliable wherein ventilated disc brakes are fitted to its front wheels and drum brakes to the rear ones. The ABS is also present, which further boosts this mechanism. The suspension system comprises of a McPherson strut on its front axle, while an isolated trailing link is used at the rear. Coil springs on both these axles further provides assistance. Meanwhile, an electronic power steering with tilt adjustment function improves its handling and supports a turning radius of 4.6 meters.

Comfort Features:

Bestowed with so many comfort features, this is certainly one of the finest vehicles to go with. The list includes IP integrated push type cup holders, remote trunk and lid opener, air conditioner with heater, as well as electrically adjustable outside mirrors.
