Maruti Wagon R Front Left Side
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The Wagon R comes with two petrol engine options. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine has been carried forward from the previous-gen model without any changes. However, the big addition here is in the form of Suzukiâ??s popular 1.2-litre, four-cylinder K-series petrol engine, that powers cars like the Maruti Swift, Baleno, Ignis and Dzire.

Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The upright front grille houses the Suzuki logo in the middle. Also seen here is a chrome bar running in the middle of the grille. Front number plate is located between the grille and the bumper air dam.
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 Outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) are body coloured on the VXi and above trims. These variants also get electric adjustability feature, while electric foldability and integrated turn indicators are limited to the range topping ZXi trim level.

Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The Wagon R comes with dual split headlamps, with the top section housing the main headlight bulbs while the lower area gets the yellow turn indicators. No projector headlamps or LED daytime running lights (DRLs) on offer in any trim level.
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 Circular front fog lamps are located on the extreme ends of the bumper in recessed black housings. They are available only on the top-end ZXi trim level.
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The vertically stacked tail light clusters are located on either side of the rear windshield. Each sideâ??s assembly gets a parking light, a brake light, reversing lamp, and turn indicators. Also visible here are the old-school flap-type door handles, instead of the pull-type ones that we see on various modern cars.

Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The Wagon R 1.0L is claimed to offer a fuel economy of 22.5 km/l, while the Wagon R 1.2L is rated at 21.5 km/l. It is worth noting that fuel economy figures of manual and automatic versions are identical for each engine option.

Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The new-gen Wagon R comes with dual-tone interiors. While the top section and centre console is finished in black, the lower section gets a beige treatment that makes the cabin look a lot more airy than it actually is.
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The top spec ZXi trim gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system that comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and voice control. Meanwhile, the VXi trim gets a 2-DIN system with a SmartPlay dock to connect your smartphone. Both these systems support USB, AUX-in and Bluetooth connectivity. Also visible here is the hazard warning lights switch, located below the infotainment system, and the vertical centre AC vents.
Steering Wheel
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The three-spoke steering wheel available in the Maruti Wagon R is similar to what is seen in the Ignis. It gets a silver garnish on the lower spoke in the VXi and ZXi variants.
Instrument Cluster
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The instrument cluster includes a large speedometer dial in the centre and a small circular display on the lower right corner. While the ZXi trim gets white lighting in the instrument cluster, lower variants get it in a reddish amber shade. It is worth noting that the circular MID screen gets a digital tachometer as well, though it is available only on the range-topping ZXi trim level.
Center Console
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 A 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission) is available as an option with the VXi and ZXi trims. Maruti refers to this gearbox as Auto Gear Shift (AGS). Meanwhile, a 5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the range.
Boot (2)
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The Wagon R has a boot space of 341 litres. This is significantly larger than the 170 litre capacity of the outgoing model. In fact, the Wagon Râ??s boot is bigger than that of its chief competitors â?? Tata Tiago (242 litres) and Hyundai Santro (235 litres).
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 VXi and ZXi variants of the Maruti Wagon R come with 60:40 split for the second row of seats. The seat back can also completely be folded to expand the boot space from 341 litres to 710 litres.
Controls and Buttons (2)
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The entry level LXi trim gets only front power windows, while all higher variants come with front and rear power windows.
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 The new Wagon R gets a standard Maruti Suzuki key with the Suzuki logo on one side and the lock and unlock buttons on the other. No remote boot release feature here.
Safety
Maruti Wagon R 2013-2022 Driver-side airbag is standard across all variants, along with anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and rear parking sensors. Meanwhile, a passenger side airbag and front seatbelt pretensioner and force limiters are available as standard on the top-end ZXi trim, but are offered as an option on all lower variants as well.
