One SX ABS 6 Seating Review
Force One is a rugged sports utility vehicle, which was first introduced in the Indian SUV segment back in 2011. The company initially launched this vehicle in overall four variants, but now its portfolio has been increased to six variants. Out of these variants Force One SX ABS 6 seating trim is the top end version, but it is available with 2WD option. This top end version in the Force One line up comes with a boxy overall design with muscular front and side profile. Inside its cabin, there are six wide and well cushioned seats covered in premium leather upholstery. Also the features inside the cabin are far more exciting compared to any other SUV of its price range. Force Motors attained license from Daimler AG to design a 2.2-litre FMTECh diesel engine for the Force One. The body panel of the SUV is the same used for Explorer 3 SUV and it is imported directly from China. This version of Force One also comes equipped with Anti-Lock Braking system and Electronic Brake Force Distribution system. The company is selling this 6-seater trim at a price of Rs. 12 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi). The price seems a little expensive but this SUV promises luxury, driving comforts and high performance.
Exteriors:
As said earlier, the Force One SUV comes with a boxy design along with a few attractive exterior aspects. Although, it looks like an outdated version, it is still a good looking SUV with a lot of sporty elements. The front facade of the SUV is muscular with day time LED lights and projector style headlights . There is a lot of chrome used on the radiator grille, which adds style to the frontage. The company logo is fitted right in the middle of the grille between the two horizontal chrome slats. Down at the bottom, the bumper is offered in body color, which further incorporates an air dam, air ducts and chrome tipped fog lights. The side profile of this SUV has been equipped with stylish 16 inch alloy wheels, body colored ORVMs and door handles. The wheel arch moldings on top of the wheels will bring a muscular look to its side profile. The ORVMs are internally adjustable which will also house the side turn blinkers in it. Apart from this, the side profile gets a sidestep, which will provide assistance while getting inside and out of the car. The rear part of this SUV looks much similar to the Explorer 3 SUV with same tail lamp cluster and body colored bumper. On top of the car, roof rails complete its sporty look.
Interior:
The interior cabin section of the Force One SX ABS 6 Seating trim is plush and spacious. The seats are well cushioned with a premium leather upholstery . The company used beige color scheme to the cabin section to make it look plush and elegant. The dashboard in the front row is well designed and there is a wooden finish on its centre console, which gives a classy feel to it. All the three rows have been equipped with dual AC vents, which promise better ambience. Apart from this, the sophisticated 2-DIN music system will provide a joyful driving experience. The steering wheel has been wrapped in leather, and has audio control and Bluetooth connectivity switches. The gear shift knob too is wrapped in leather upholstery. The door panels have been equipped with power window switches for enhanced convenience. There are several other features incorporated inside the car including arm rest, 12V power socket, mobile charger in second row and several others.
Engine and Performance:
The Force One SUV is one of the most powerful and a high performance SUVs, available at a very reasonable price. The company procured license from Daimler AG for designing the 2.2-litre FMTECH diesel engine, which also powers the Force One SX ABS 6 Seating trim. The engine comes with 4 cylinders, 16-valves and a turbocharged inter-cooler. The 2149cc engine is capable of churning out 139.1bhp at 3800rpm, while yielding 321Nm of torque output at 1600 to 2400rpm . The engine comes mated to a five speed manual transmission gearbox that distributes the power to the front wheels. The powertrain impresses with its fuel economy figures as well, returning a combined mileage of 17kmpl.
Braking and Handling:
Force One is a sports utility vehicle which requires superior braking and handling mechanism. The company bestowed this SUV with disc brakes on its front wheels and drum brakes to its rear wheels. These brakes will work with the combination of Anti-Lock braking system and Electronic Brake Force Distribution system in order to prevent locking in slippery roads. As far as the handling is concern, this car has power assisted steering system that provides instant responsive and makes driving easy in all conditions.
Safety Features:
The company has given an utmost importance to the safety aspects of the Force One to ensure protection for passengers and for the vehicle as well. It comes with a list of safety functions including ABS, EBD, collapsible steering system, central locking system, child safety locks, anti-theft alarm, day and night rear view mirror , seat belt warning, side impact beams, door ajar warning, adjustable seats, key less entry, automatic headlights, centrally mounted fuel tank and many more.

- Force One Good SUV But Lacks Brand Value and Dealerships
Force One SUV was launched 7 years back with the notion to give a new and unique offering in the space. The maker of Traveller and Trax utility vehicle took a whole new approach in the segment to give ruggedness of a sports utility vehicle along with providing spaciousness and comfort of a passenger car. But the car so far hasn?t been up to the mark and one of the major reasons behind its failure in the country is the presence of strong competitors in the space in the form of Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari. And given how heated SUV space has become in past couple of years, rumours are afloat that the carmaker will be pulling the plug on this car soon. The problem is not with the car, but with the stiff competition it currently contests in. The car has powerful engine and scores well in certain areas including the equipment level. The delights include progressive cruise control, leather interiors, independent air conditioning for occupants on all three rows of seats, parking sensor and brake pad wear indicator. It also has 2-DIN music system with 4-speakers offering CD/MP3, USB, and Aux-in connectivity. However, the lackluster exterior and the stiff pricing have always been against in favour of this car. And top of it, weak brand and after-sales setup has compelled it to go into the abyss of ignorance. Today, customers are preferring established brands and this has forced the Force to rethink about the future of this SUV.Read More
