Latest Update: Mercedes-Benz has revealed the facelifted GLB SUV.
Launch: It is expected to be launched by January 2024.
Price: The facelifted GLB could be priced from Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Variants: Mercedes-Benz will offer it in total eight variants: 180, 180 d, 200, 200 d, 200 d 4MATIC, 220 4MATIC, 220 d 4MATIC and 250 4MATIC.
Engine and Transmission: Internationally, the 2024 GLB gets two petrol and one diesel engine in different stages of tune: a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol (136PS/230Nm and 163PS/270Nm) and a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine (190PS/300Nm and 224PS/350Nm). Both engines also get a 14PS power boost, thanks to the 48V mild-hybrid system on board. While the former comes with a seven-speed DCT, the latter gets an eight-speed DCT.
It also gets a 2-litre diesel unit in three stages of tune (116PS/280Nm, 150PS/320Nm and 190PS/400Nm) paired with an eight-speed DCT. The SUV comes with both front-wheel-drive and 4MATIC all-wheel-drive systems.
Features: Its features list comprises dual 10.25-inch displays (touchscreen infotainment and driver’s display), 10-colour ambient lighting, voice assistant, a panoramic sunroof and an optional Burmester sound system.
Safety: On the safety front, it comes with multiple airbags and electronic stability programme (ESP). It also gets a 360-degree camera and some driver assistance functionalities like lane-keep assist and high-beam assist.
Rivals: The facelifted GLB will continue to rival the Audi Q5 and BMW X3.
