Land Rover Discovery 3

2nd-March-2012: Land Rover has produced 1 million Land Rover Discovery across the globe, 23 years after Land Rover introduced its original model. Land Lover Discovery 3 priced at Rs 59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), sits between Range Rover and the rugged Defender. To celebrate its millionth vehicle made at UK plant, Land Rover launched ‘Journey of Discovery’. The Millionth and two other Discovery cars will be embarking on a 50-day, 8,000 mile 'Journey of Discovery' from its birthplace in Birmingham to Beijing in China which is one of Land Rover's fastest growing markets. The Land Rover Discovery can seat seven passengers, has a load space volume of up to 2,500 liters and is packed with technology including Land Rover's award-winning Terrain Response System. These vehicles will be travelling through 13 countries across Europe and Central Asia, culminating at the Beijing motor show on 23 April. This will help Land Rover in launching a fund raising project for supporting a much needed water sanitation project in Uganda.
