Kia Seltos 2023

Latest Update: A test mule of the facelifted Kia Seltos has been sighted with possibly the ADAS radar placed in its front bumper.

Launch: It is expected to be launched in May 2023.

Price: It could be priced from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Seating Capacity: It will be offered in a five-seater configuration.

Engine and Transmission: We expect the facelifted Seltos to use the same powertrains as the current model: a 1.5-litre petrol (115PS/144Nm) paired with a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic, and a 1.5-litre diesel (115PS/250Nm) mated to either a iMT gearbox or a six-speed automatic. Kia may also introduce the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine (160PS/253Nm) from Hyundai, paired to a six-speed iMT or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Features: Kia’s facelifted compact SUV could boast a fully digital driver’s display integrated as part of a dual-screen layout with the 10.25-inch touchscreen system. It is likely to retain the air purifier, ambient lighting, and ventilated front seats from the current model. Kia might also add panoramic sunroof and heated seats to the facelifted model.

Safety: Its safety package could include up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-assist control (HAC), and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Rivals: Kia’s compact SUV will continue its rivalry with the MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
