Toyota, Skoda and Tata Motors implement Price Hike

Following the announcements made last month, carmakers like Toyota, Skoda and Tata Motors have implemented price hike. The highest increase is displayed by Skoda in Octavia (petrol) which is now Rs. 33,000 costlier. The car is now priced at Rs 16.07 lac. Toyota has increased the price of Innova by Rs. 14,000 and now comes with a price tag of Rs. 10.86 lac. Etios Liva and Etios are also dearer by Rs. Rs 7,500 and 6,000 respectively. The biggest hike by the Japanese automaker came for Camry, which is now costlier by Rs. 31,500. The sedan after  costs Rs 29.11 lac. Corolla diesel gets almost the same hike and is priced at Rs 29,000 more. 

Tata Motors too have confirmed the rise in prices by up to Rs. 20,000 but did not give specific details for models. Skoda raised the price for Rapid (petrol) by Rs 15,000 which will now cost Rs 7.71 lac (base variant).

Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, BMW, Nissan and Honda have also declared that they will be raising the prices from January 1, 2016, but have not implemented it as of now. While Hyundai India stated that the costs will go up by Rs. 30,000, automakers like BMW, Renault and Nissan have announced a hike within a bracket of 3%. All the prices mentioned above are ex-showroom Delhi.
