BMW 1 Series: An Affordable Hatchback With Striking Aspects

The German luxury car manufacturer has recently launched its most affordable and stylish hatchback in the Indian car market with a lot of good features. The company has said that the BMW 1 Series is the lowest price vehicle from their stable. I have recently bought the petrol variant of this luxurious and stylish hatchback, which is known as BMW 1 Series 116i and it powered by 1.6-litre twin turbo petrol mill. The engine of this stylish car is designed in this manner that it is capable to deliver a very power packed performance with impressive mileage. When I drive this hatchback in the city road it returns 13.4 kmpl of fuel economy and at the same time, on the highway it deliver a very healthy fuel economy of 16.28 kmpl and it is quite good for the Indian buyers. This engine can churn out a maximum power of 134.1bhp at 4400-6450 rpm along with a peak torque of 220Nm at 1350-4300 rpm, which is quite good for the country's road. The car is made for the higher class and the petrol variant is available at Rs. 20.90 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). This stylish and brilliant hatchback is perfect for he small family and sitting inside the luxurious vehicle, we feel like a heaven. The company has blessed it a lot of striking and incredible features, which makes it perfect. Apart from these, it is blessed with almost all such aspects, which are necessary for the safe and comfortable driving. To conclude, I can say that it is a best luxurious car for the small family and the company has bestowed it with a lot of good features, which are perfect for the modern generation. It has a lot of safety features too, which can easily protect the passengers from any accident and also help in smooth and proficient driving experience.Read More

BMW 1 Series latest updates

BMW 1 Series has been discontinued in India. The company used to sell just one variant in the country. The 5-door, 118d Sport Line was powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that produced 150PS of power and 320Nm of torque. The engine came mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which transfered the power to the road via the rear wheels only.

Its was a direct rival to the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Volvo V40 and the Mini Cooper.
