    February 24, 2015 : Maruti Suzuki has silently launched the facelifted Swift Dzire at Rs 5.07 lac while the ZDi (diesel top variant) costs Rs 7.81 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The most selling compact sedan from India's largest passenger car seller is now offered with four new eye catching shades in both petrol and diesel models. On the exterior, the car now gets single-chrome slat grille, smoked head-lamps, chrome inserts on log lamps, redesigned bumpers and new set of alloy wheels. While as seen in the swift facelift, its bigger sibling, Swift Dzire too gets start-stop button, reverse parking sensors, rear power socket, electrically adjustable folding mirrors and a new music system.

    February 18, 2015: Hyundai has finally launched the new Fluidic 4S Verna at Rs 7.73 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) while the diesel model is priced at Rs 8.94 lac. In the new Verna 4S (which stands for Style, Safety, Sophistication and Speed) the front fascia features wind shaped grille with twin salted chrome linings, redesigned front bumper and new fog light housings. While the rear gets slightly redesigned tail lamps along with a reworked bumper which now incorporate reflectors at each end finish up the design changes. On the safety front the car offers ABS as standard safety feature while the top variant gets six airbags, rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps.

    January 27, 2015: Maruti Suzuki has introduced the anticipated top-end Z+ trims of the Ciaz, the ZXI+ (Petrol) costs Rs. 9.81 Lac while the ZDI+ (Diesel) costs Rs. 10.37 Lac (All Ex-Showroom Prices New Delhi).     December 2, 2014: Toyota is offering special scheme on the diesel variant of the current-gen Corolla Altis .     February 17, 2015 : Volkswagen today launched the updated Jetta in India. Priced from INR 13.87 lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai), this is not the next-generation model, but only a facelift with some minor tweaks.The most significant changes on the new Jetta are upfront. Its front fascia now incorporates a Passat-like three-slat chrome front radiator grille, a new bumper incorporating a larger air intake along with the Bi-Xenon headlamp units with brand’s Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS). The engine options on the new Jetta are remains identical, that means it will continue to be powered by the 120 bhp- 1.4-litre TSI petrol and 138bhp- 2.0-litre TDi diesel powerunits. Even the gearbox choices are left untouched, with a 6-speed manual and dual-clutch automatic (DSG) transmission (diesel only) will continue to transfer power to the front wheels.

    January 22, 2015: Mercedes Benz today launched its much anticipated CLA-Class in the country with a starting price tag of Rs 31.50 Lacs (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The German car manufacturer has already launched the CLA's performance-oriented version, the CLA45 AMG last year. The CLA is positioned below the recently launched C-Class and will primarily compete against the cheapest Audi in the country, the A3 sedan.     March 2, 2015: This March, Toyota Kirloskar Motor India is offering Etios sedan diesel variants with TGA - Toyota’s Genuine Accessories worth Rs. 20,000, in their Holi offer. Earlier in January 2015, Toyota Motor Corporation has announced that its subsidiary Toyota do Brasil LTDA plans to increase annual "Etios " vehicle production at its Sorocaba Plant in São Paulo from 74,000 units to 108,000 units. The increase, which is scheduled to come into effect at the beginning of 2016, is aimed to meet increased demand for the vehicle series in Brazil, and will involve additional investment of around 100 million Brazilian real. When launched in September 2012 in Brazil, the sales of Etios ranged between 2,000 and 3,000 units per month. Thanks to the constant improvements with features such as new seat upholstery, seat height adjusters, new variants such as Etios Cross and expansion of network to a total of 54 new dealerships and satellite stores have resulted in increase in sales that have now reached between 6,000 and 7,000 units.

    October 19, 2013Tata Motors, India's leading car maker is all set to launch the next generation Manza CS compact sedan in the country by early 2014.     February 25, 2015 : Renault India has reportedly put a temporary stop on the production of its Scala sedan and Pulse hatchback, citing low demands of these models in the country. As per the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the company hasn’t rolled out Scala from the facility since 183 units were manufactured in May last year, while the last batch of the Pulse was made in October, accounting for mere 59 units. The company most likely will launch the facelifts for both the models and once the refreshed models will arrive in the market, the production is expected to get back its pace again. Renault offers the Scala with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options, while the Pulse is being offered with a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel mills.
