Speaking in this context, the waiting period varies according to cities and also depends on the engine trim & variant plus colour option too. The petrol is attracting 2-4 months waiting period while the diesel being the popular one attracts 4-5 months. The CVT petrol and sunroof variant of diesel and petrol are witnessing 6 months delay.
June 10, 2014: Honda has sold more that 88,000 units of Amaze in just a span of one year. The car was launched in April last year and since than it has been a huge sucess for the Japanese manufacturer. Honda Amaze is the company's first car to be launched with a diesel engine. The car carries a 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine and chruns a power of 98.6bhp while the petrol model houses 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine which develops a power of 86.8bhp. Company claims that the diesel model delivers a fuel economy of 25.8kmpl. Currently, the company has 172 facilities across 109 cities while it intends to increase them to 230 facilities across 150 cities.
May 2, 2013: India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki celebrated the fifth anniversary of its flagship compact sedan, Swift Dzire in style. MSI invited over 62 customers with their familes to take part in Mumbai. The Dzirable Mileage Rally celebration was held in 31 cities across the country last weekend. Mr. Gurdeep singh was given the crown for achieving the best mileage of 45.8kmpl in the diesel category, while Mr. Shrirang Chindarkar won in the petrol category by achieving 42.1kmpl mileage.

February 27, 2014 : Hyundai India brings in a new CX trim to its most celebrated sedan, Hyundai Verna. With this, the company opens wide range to choose from, as the variant comes with both 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant is priced at Rs. 8.07 lakh and diesel costs Rs. 9.28 lakh. The new trim is positioned in between EX and SX variants, and gets almost every feature required to be with the mid variant. July 3, 2014: Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd., introduced a new limited edition variant of its Etios sedan. Christened as Etios Xclusive, the production of this edition is limited to just 900 units. Based on the G grade of the current line-up, the new edition is available in two existing colours- Classic Grey and Symphony Silver. The Etios Xclusive now features new front full-chrome grille, chrome garnishing on the taillights, headlamp and ORVM, accounts for the exterior changes. A new Bluetooth equipped Audio system and a limited edition ‘Xclusive' badge are the additions on the inside.
October 19, 2013: Volkswagen India that launched the Vento TSI, has now launched the Vento "Corporate Edition" accessory pack in the Indian car market. The accessory pack can be installed to all the variants of the sedan. The accessory pack is available free of costs, and comes equipped with eight additional features including Alloy wheels, trunk spoiler, mud flaps, door protection, window chrome set, navigation system with rear view camera, seat covers and door step garnish. The Volkswagen Vento is available in both petrol and diesel versions - 105PS, 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 105PS, 1.6-litre diesel engine. July 3, 2014: Nissan India drive-in the 2014 Nissan Sunny facelift at a price tag of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). June 24, 2014: Chevrolet revealed the interiors of the all-new 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. The automaker showcased the new Cruze at the Beijing Motor Show couple of months ago, while the interiors were under-the-wraps up until now. The sedan gets an all-new body along with all-new interiors and is based on the Tru-140S concept. The new Chvey Cruze will feature 'Dual Cockpit' layout inspired from the American muscles Camaro and Corvette. Seats are covered with 'Saddle brown' leather upholstery, while the dashboard gets saddle brown accents apart from all-black dash. November 25, 2013: Hyundai, the South Korean carmaker has unveiled the 2014 Elantra saloon at the LA Motor Show. The vehicle retains the same fluidic design philosophy, but it now gets a new set of features and changes. The model now features an all-new front and rear exterior designs, and some interior styling tweaks. It now comes equipped with next-generation navigation, audio technology, a 4.3-inch color touchscreen with integrated rearview camera and others. The new Elantra now has a more elongated front fog lamps and new LED tail lamps. It gets new hill-start assist control, new driver's blind spot mirror, standard blue link and Hyundai assurance connected care. It is also expected that the new model will also make its way to the Indian car market.
November 22, 2013: India's leading car-maker, Tata has launched the CNG version of Indigo in the Indian car market. It has been priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh for the entry level GLS model and Rs. 5.27 lakh for the GLX model. The petrol-CNG engine of the car is capable of developing 65bhp of top power and returns an amazing fuel efficiency figure of 24.6km/kg. It also offers an additional range of up to 230km in CNG over 650km in petrol. The vehicle comes equipped with a new advanced F-Shift gear box and new Duo Float suspension. The Indigo emax has been introduced in 6 cities across India and will now be available in Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura.

June 19, 2014: Ford India has launched the all new 2014 Ford Fiesta with price tag of Rs 7.69 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) . The company has offered the sedan in three variants Ambiente, Trend and Titanium all housing the same 1.5-litre TDCi turbo diesel engine mated to five speed manual transmission. The engine churns a maximum power 90 hp with a peak torque of 205 Nm. The car delivers a fuel economy of 25.01kmpl. Pitched in the growing C segment, Fiesta lock horns with the segment leader Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
November 21, 2013: Skoda India has launched a new base 1.8 Ambition petrol model of new Octavia sedan at Rs. 16.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The bookings for the new trim are on, while the deliveries will start from January 2014. The new model costs around Rs. 2 lakh lesser than the Elegance trim. The new model looses out on some features such as LED daytime running lamps, rear declid spoiler, corner function with front fog lights, tyre pressure monitoring, headlight washer, side and curtain airbags, panoramic sunroof, 12-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, cruise control and others. Under the hood, the new model gets the same 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine that develops 177.6bhp and 250Nm of peak torque.

April 25, 2014: Volkswagen Jetta first arrived in 2011 with powerful yet fuel-efficient engine. Now, the company decides to bring an upgrade on the existing Jetta, and the new model is expected to arrive by early 2015 in India. October 19, 2013: Tata Motors, India's leading car maker is all set to launch the next generation Manza CS compact sedan in the country by early 2014. The vehicle is expected to be showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, where the company will also present the 2014 Indica Vista. The front end of the vehicle is likely to be inspired by the Manza hybrid, which was showcased at the last year's auto show. The notchback gets a more aggressive front, which features a new headlights and bumper with triangular airdams. The new Manza CS will be positioned between the mid-size Manza sedan and Indigo eCs. It will be available in both petrol and diesel engine guise - a 1.2-litre XETA petrol engine and a 1.3-litre Multi-jet diesel engine.
June 13, 2014: Mercedes-Benz will launch the E-Class cabriolet E400 in India by the end of this year, 2014. If media reports are to believed the manufacturer will introduce the E400 with an ex-showroom price of Rs 80 lakh. In 2013, the Mercedes-Benz discontinued its E-Class convertible from Indian auto-market but with the growing demand of premium cars, the company is looking forward to launch the next generation. However, it would be the first time when the automaker will launch the E400 model in the country.

February 10, 2014: Skoda introduced the updated version of the Superb model at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. With changes done to the front and rear, it is priced at Rs. 18.87 lakhs (ex-showroom- Delhi) and comes with several new features like new butterfly grille, redesigned bumper, new bonnet, Octavia-like bumper, new headlamps and tail-lamps with integrated daytime running LED’s and a new set of alloys. It has also been updated with a push button start and a new three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, Adaptive Front Light System, Hill Hold Control, eight airbags, three-point safety belts and height-adjustable headrests. Its engine configuration is the same - a 1.8-litre TSI petrol(158bhp) and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel (138bhp). The price of the variants range from Rs. 18.87 lakhs to Rs. 25.20 lakhs.
March 4, 2014: Fiat India has finally launched the facelifted version of its saloon Linea at Rs.6.99 lakh, (Ex-showroom Delhi). The car that first saw the day light back in 2009 was getting minor updates from past four years, but today, the company has launched its major facelift version. The facelift version has already been showcased at the recently concluded 2014 Auto Expo. Fiat has provided all the bells and whistles in a very economical way. September 2, 2013: Hindustan Motors has now finally announced the pricing for its newly introduced BS IV compliant Ambassador, named 'Encore'. The Ambassador Encore has been priced at Rs. 4.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Kolkata) , while the bookings too have started from today. Now with the launch of Encore, HM will be able to sell the product in the 17 Metro cities where BS III complaint cars were banned in April 2010. The major upgrade given to the car is the improvement in 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is now matches to BS IV standards and OBD 2 level. The company has rolled out the product under the no-refusal taxi segment. Buyers in the replacement taxi segment will be given more reduction in the announced price.
April 25, 2014: Hyundai introduces all-new 2014 Hyundai Sonata at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. March 25, 2014: Today, Renault has launched the facelift of Fluence at Rs 13.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The updated Fluence gets redesigned bumpers, aggressive front grill and LED DRLs. Inside the cabin, the saloon now features new infotainment system with 3D surround system and eight speakers, R-link infotainment module, satellite navigation. While the driver-aid technologies are also upgraded as it now includes automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers. October 23, 2013: Volvo Auto India has finally launched the updated S60 saloon in the Indian car market for Rs. 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The vehicle gets the new family look, improved interiors, added features and slightly tweaked engine. It now has more broader front fascia with wider grille and restyled lamp assemblies. The new S60 comes equipped with a new multimedia system, a seven-inch touch-screen and new digital TFT instrument Cluster with three modes. September 25, 2013: The Italian carmaker, Fiat has launched the affordable Linea Classic in the Indian car market for Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Linea Classic is available in both diesel and petrol options. While, the petrol version is powered by the same 1.4-litre mill that develops 88bhp, the diesel model gets a detuned 1.3-litre Multijet engine that churns out 75bhp. Fiat Linea Classic is now available in three variants- a 1.4L Petrol Classic, a 1.3L Multijet Classic and a 1.3L Multijet Classic+. It will compete against the likes of Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Chevrolet Sail, Nissan Sunny, Ford Fiesta Classic and others.
26th-Jan-2012 : Nissan Teana, the luxurious four-wheeler comes in petrol engine and is brought in India as completely built unit (CBU).
