Mahindra and Mahindra, a leading domestic auto company, launched a new variant of Mahindra Xylo D2 in India. This new multi-utility vehicle (MUV) has a price tag of Rs 6.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). New Mahindra Xylo D2 is upgraded with a 2.5 litre mDI CRDe engine that offers better fuel economy, less emissions, lower maintenance and spare parts cost. The engine gets the benefits of DI and CRDe technologies. The new engine develops peak power of 95 bhp and 215 Nm of peak torque between a range of 1400 to 2600 rpm. The MUV is equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox. New Mahindra Xylo D2 is launched in three stunning colours-fiery black, gold shimmer and mist silver. The vehicle sports cool dual AC, power steering and windows, height adjustable driver's seat and an engine immobilizer which ensures security. The base model of the MUV was launched in December 2008 and saw a great success. Apart from this launch, there are two big launches in the line in India that are Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo.
