    Mercedes Benz A Class

Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India commented “We are very satisfied with our performance in 2013 which we called the ‘Year of Offensive’. We are happy that our New A-Class, New E-Class and the SUV portfolio saw robust demand amidst challenging market conditions. Our consumers have clearly appreciated our initiatives and we enter 2014 with a clear promise of delivering “Excellence.”

Mercedes-Benz registered 16% growth in H1(Jan to June) which further grew by 45% in H2.(July to Dec). This significant growth is attributed to the ‘Year of Offensive’ which focused on the four pillars of Products, Network, Cost of Ownership and Brand Experiences. The year 2013 witnessed the successful launch of eight new products across categories, network expansion across nine new touch points in cities like New Delhi, Baroda, Coimbatore, Noida, Gurgaon, Rajkot, New Mumbai, Lucknow and Pune. The year also saw the launch of low cost of ownership initiatives such as “My Mercedes” program and the inauguration of ‘Centre of Excellence’ located within the company’s production facility in Pune.

With the year closing on a successful note, Mercedes-Benz India is uniquely poised to start 2014 with the launch of the automotive benchmark – the new S-Class and commence the ‘Year of Excellence.’
