Pros : German Baby, Brand value, Trusted Design

Cons : Poor DashBoard, Worst Audio Player, No Facility for locking the doors from inside..

Look and Style : Unbelievable and Gorgeous appearance. Comfort : Rear Seat comfort is really good but for middle passenger. Pickup : Reasonable but did not give sensation like Maruthi Swift or Ford Fiesta Mileage : Good for this Class(1.6L Diesel)...coming about 16 kmpl Best Features : Style, German Engineering, Great ride in Highways and equal ride in City traffic also.

I agree that door locking system is 'SIMPLY LOUSY' and definitely not expected from a German Car (Das Auto..?) Also to note that the vintage music system for 10 Lac Sedan....painful stuff for Indian Car Buyers. Diesel Engine is Good but have modest pick-up.

Verna's performance is much better at less noise.

Hai yogesh this ia technical comparison for you.... 1.5-litre diesel on the Verna has more power and is more refined, the one on the Vento is a tad bit torquier. Both will get to 100 kph in under 12 seconds, but it's the Vento that is a shade quicker. The 110 horsepower Verna simply loses out to the higher displacement, 104 bhp Vento on account of torque as well as gearing. The Vento has slightly shorter gearing which helps it get there quicker. Efficiency-wise, it is the Vento that scores marginally over the Verna in the combined cycle.

Hi Yogesh....VERNA is losing out and beyond comparable with VENTO. Anyway, please check both the cars closely during test drive and VW will score above Hyundai. As this writer rightly pointed out, Door Locking, Music Syetem and Fuel lid opening are really lousy and not expected from German make.

hai rajesh..i also accpet your pont regadring locking...but it is easy when you drive...you have full control...music system i am really disappointed.. for that only i had gone for trendline disel...it cost me 9,30,000 onroad it is worth... additional feature offering in highline will not worth aswell as music system it is not compatible for usb ... no rear view cameras.. waiting period for highline is more than 4 months.. i had booked on oct7th trendline diesel received by nov 5th..

I have taken test drive of Volkswagan Vento, new Car and very good for driving when compared to Honda City but the front face is same as Polo. Diesel Car is much more powerful when driving against Petrol car. Old CD player is boring. Price is slightly higher for Diesel and some discount will help this car to sell more.

    C.VIJAYAKUMAR |15 Dec,2010 08:15:59 PM

hai sir, polo front is easier for driving sir mainly it is like drving a smal car...I had gone fro trndline deisel...so cd player doesnot hurt me...owning a sedan of social vechicle( compare skoda, benze) it is very cheaper......riding quality is equal to skoda,benze....

Vento is becoming undisputable leader replacing Honda City unless Honda City introduces its Diesel version, if at all exists..!
