Maruti Kizashi, the luxury vehicle from the country’s best small ...

Look and Style Maruti’s attempt to enter the luxury segment came in as a surprise but not an unexpected one. After the superb cars that they have been delivering, this was the definite next move. The car looks superbly fashionable, elegant, sporty and luxurious. The wheels further add these qualities. The front of the car makes it look aggressive. The interiors as well are high quality and look very finished. The center console is very neat and the seating is surprisingly very spacious. Comfort The front seat and rear seat are lined up such that it has enough legroom for the passengers, thus making the drive very comfortable. In fact, the cabin of Maruti Kizashi is surprisingly as spacious as the Honda Accord. The headroom in Kizashi is much higher in comparison. The driving in the city was a little better in the Kizashi because it could maneuver better and turning radius is a little lesser than the Accord. Accord is a good drive on the wide roads though. Pickup Kizashi has a decent pick up. Though by the looks of it one would expect a better pick up but its not as expected. But then again, its not that bad that Kizashi loses points on this front.   Mileage Claims are that it delivers 12kmpl, which is not unbelievable but since I’ve driven it once can’t comment honestly. But since it is Maruti the claims can be actually true.   Best Features Best feature can be the space, comfort and the looks. Actually the drive itself isn’t too bad.   Needs to improve Its overall an Ok car so it needs to improve on its performance and maybe add to the luxury features in comparison to the competition available.   Overall Experience The experience with the car wasn’t too bad. Although I would still prefer a Laura or Accord than Kizashi because of the brand names, features and drive. I would pay the same or even a little higher amount for these brands in comparison to Maurti. Nothing majorly wrong with the car but somehow paying that high amount for a Maruti doesn’t seem justifiable because it is best known for the mid segment and small cars and maybe that image is set in the mind too strongly to be changed.
