I am a proud owner of the CIAZ ZXI+ (RS) for the last 1 month. Some may think that its too short a time to be writing a review & I have never ever reviewed a product previously. But I am compelled to do so by the absolute beauty (CIAZ RS).
Firstly looks - I know some some argue that it is not as good looking as Honda City, but my personal opinion is that I like the simple yet classy look of the CIAZ more than the Bulky front of the City. The CIAZ RS out does even the Verna in my opinion as the new Verna is not as good looking and eye catching as the older variant. The CIAZ RS variant gives a more sporty look with the right around body skirting & the rear spoiler. The All black interior adds to the classy & sporty feel inside the cabin. Just love it.
Features - Top of the line variant gives anything and everything that a mid size sedan can offer. 7 inch smart infotainment system works seamlessly well and very easy to operate. Lots of storage space & airy feel inside the cabin. The only downside maybe the missing sunroof but really, for a mid size sedan to offer so much and we still asking for more is like we doing the nitpicking on purpose.
Performance - For me, the mileage is not much of an issue but even otherwise the Ciaz Petrol variant gives pretty decent mileage of about 18-20KMPL on highways. But I always believe that the Mileage is always dependant on many other factors & driving conditions. The engine does pack a punch when it comes to power and I am pretty satisfied with the overall performance from the CIAZ.
Service - both pre sales and Post sales
Pre sales - I must say I was disappointed to some extent with 2 Maruthi dealers as I was promised a RS variant in 15 days and I ended up waiting for 2 months with just new promises every time I called. And trust me I called them almost every alternate day to get an update after the initial 15 days promise was not kept. I had opted for the Midnight Black RS variant initially but I was told that it was available & will be delivered within 15 days. Later I was told informed that the Black variant is not available and a order/indent had to placed to get it from from the plant. I agreed to that and 2 months down the line I still did not have the vehicle & worst part, I was told that the RS variant will no longer be under production till further notice. Not sure what that meant & if it was true. Later I had to change my color option to my 2nd choice - Dignity Brown, which to my surprise turned out even more classier that the black. So although I am happy with the CIAZ, can't say the same thing about Pre sales support as it took 3 weeks to refund my booking amount after cancellation at one of the dealers.
Post Sales Service -
There is really no need to talk about the post sales service at Maruthi. Its one of the best if not the best in the business. Wonderful & eager to listen service advisors, on time & quick delivery post service & willingness to help by going the extra mile and suggesting plans to cut down the service costs post the 2 year normal service timeline.
Overall - Just love my new CIAZ. Absolutely worth every penny invested. Looking forward to a great & satisfactory feeling every time I take it out for a ride. :-)
