Etios 2010-2012 Petrol TRD Sportivo Review

After the launch of the limited editions of Toyota Innova, Toyota Corolla Altis and Toyota Etios Liva, the company is here with a special edition of Toyota Etios sedan. This one is called Toyota Etios TRD Sportivo, which has been given a very sporty make over to make it look more appealing than before. The facelift comprise of fresh 15 inches of alloy wheels along with a body kit, which has bumper spoiler at front and rear along with side skirts, the TRD Sportivo stickers on the side. The car also has TRD Sportive logo along with chrome finished gear knob, dual tone fabric upholstery for the seat with TRD sportive emblem embossed on it. However, the company hasn’t given any makeover on the engine part and the performance of the sedan remains the same as before. But the exteriors do make it appear to be amazing. The reason behind brining in the limited edition sedan is that the festive season would certainly help the car maker in boosting up the sales of its Etios Sedan. The car has been launched in both diesel and petrol. The Toyota Etios TRD Sportivo Petrol is powered by a strong 1.2 litre of inline four cylinder petrol engine that produces maximum 78.9BHP of power with 104Nm of torque. The five speed manual transmission is present and has been intelligently coupled with the engine taking the mileage to 18.3kmpl. The interiors have all the basic comfort features, which help in making the ride in the car much comfy and enjoyable.

Exteriors

The looks of the new Toyota Etios Petrol TRD Sportivo petrol are very sporty and attractive. The company has worked hard on the exteriors of the car and made it very appealing and as the name suggest, totally ‘Sportivo’. The car comes with TRD Sportivo stickers on the side of the car and the bumper spoiler on the front and rear just makes it best for the sedan. The front of the car has the chrome finished grille with smooth and athletic bonnet and large headlights. The 15 inches of alloy wheels fitted into the well-pronounced wheel arches add on more charm to the look. Finally at the rear, the Toyota logo is positioned in the centre of the boot lid and the tail lights are done very nicely. The car also has high mounted stop lamp that is successful in making it appear to be quite inspiring.

Interiors

The interiors of the new Toyota Etios Petrol TRD Sportivo Limited Edition are complementing the exteriors here. On the inside, you will find dual tone fabric upholstery for the seat with TRD sportive emblem embossed on it and chrome finished gear knob. The dashboard is very posh looking with fabric trims around the inside door handles. The ample of legroom and headroom for all further enhances the ride experience. The color combination used inside makes the ambiance quite nice and soothing.

On the comfort front, the car maker as provided the new Toyota Etios Petrol TRD Sportivo Petrol Sedan with almost all important comfort features. The 1.2 liter inline, 4 cylinder DOHC engine can produce a massive 1197 cc as engine displacement has the ability to provide the car with great power and high performance. The maximum power and the maximum torque delivered by this engine is around 78.9bhp at the rate of 5600 rpm and a torque of 104 Nm at the rate of 3100 rpm respectively that in turn provides a very good acceleration.
