Wagon R Stingray LXI Review
Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India's largest passenger car manufacturer introduced yet another model to its portfolio in the form of Maruti Wagon R Stingray hatchback. This new hatch is to target the growing middle class and comes with an aggressive price tag. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Stingray LXi is the entry level variant in its lineup and it has been powered by the same KB10, 1.0-litre petrol mill, which is currently under the hood of the regular Wagon R line up. The company has designed this new model with trendy exteriors, which make it look completely different from the regular Wagon R series. However, this new car has borrowed some of the aspects like body panel, interiors and technicalities from the existing version of Maruti Wagon R. Now coming to the new Wagon R Stingray LXi trim, it comes with irresistible features like chrome accentuated interiors, blue back light based instrument cluster, push type upper glove box, passenger seat under tray, 60:40 rear seats and plenty of other features. The company claims that this new hatch has got the ability to return a mileage of about 20.51kmpl, which is quite impressive. Now, the company will look to maintain its leading spot in the Indian automobile market with the introduction of this new sporty Maruti Wagon R Stingray series. The Maruti Wagon R Stingray is the new model in the MSIL portfolio that comes with a captivating exterior design. This new hatch comes with projector lamps based head light cluster, which is used for the first time in this segment. Then there is a very stylish reflector grille which further add to its stylish exteriors. Although, it borrows the overall body panel from the existing version of Wagon R, it comes with a refreshing new look because of the sophisticated and bold exteriors. The front facade of this hatch is trendy and aggressive that will certainly lure the first time buyers. This K10B series engine has the ability to unleash 67.1bhp at 6200rpm and yields a maximum 90Nm of torque at 3500rpm, which is pretty decent. The front wheels of the hatch derives the power from the engine through a five speed manual transmission gearbox and returns an impressive mileage of about 20.51kmpl, which has been certified by the ARAI.
Braking and Handling:
The all new Maruti Wagon R Stingray LXi trim is blessed with the conventional and reliable braking mechanism. Its front wheels have been fitted with ventilated discs , while the rear wheels have been bestowed with a drum braking mechanism, which functions exceptionally well in all conditions. Its rigid axle has been assembled with robust suspension system that keeps the car agile and steady on roads. The front axle of the Wagon R Stingray LXi trim gets the McPherson Strut type of suspension with a coil spring, while the rear axle has been bestowed with an isolated trailing link suspension with a coil spring. While the superior power assisted steering system makes it easier for the driver to handle the hatch by being very smooth and responsive.
Comfort Features:
The comfort features inside this brand new Maruti Wagon R Stingray LXi entry level trim are quite good, all thanks to the growing competition that made the company to incorporate some of the best functions inside it. This entry level trim comes with a list of features including a proficient air conditioning system, front power windows, electronic power assisted steering, a central door locking system, 60:40 split and folding seats, foldable grip assists , driver side storage shelf, push type additional storage space, remote fuel lid and tail gate opener, reclining and sliding full flat front seats, map pockets and many more such functions. This entry level trim also gets a spacious glove box, a 12V accessory socket and warning buzzers as well.

This entry level trim gets several safety features which are very crucial. The list of its safety functions include a collapsible steering column, energy absorbing body structure with side impact beams, a driver seat belt warning indicator, intelligent computerized Anti-Theft system, child proof rear door locks, front and rear ELR seat belts and a few more aspects, which ensure the safety of the occupants as well as the vehicle.
