Mahindra and Mahindra has emerged in the Indian market as one of the top players. It is only with acclaimed models such as the XUV 500 that the company has seized a well earned spot in the industry. This SUV has now received a facelift, and the new version has a range of variants. Among them, the Mahindra XUV W10 2WD is their top end variant. The model comes with its standard mHawk engine, capable of a displacing 2179cc. As for the softer facet, the facelift adds to the look of the machine. In addition to this, it has an all new front grille with chrome inserts. The side hosts alloy wheels, along with roof rails at the top. The electric sunroof at the top of the machine is a highlight of the new version. The overall exterior dimensions remain the same. It stretches to a length of 4585mm, with its width is at 1890mm. The SUV is large and muscular, standing at a height of 1785mm and its gross weight is 2510 Kgs. Now looking at the insides, the cabin is fulfilled on all comfort needs. It is large and spacious, with seats that provide comfort to its passengers. The entertainment needs of the passengers are taken care of, with all necessary equipment for added convenience. Turning to the last and most critical side, it takes care of the safety of its passengers to the fullest. Its braking system is complete with strong calipers, and the suspension has the best value as well. An improvement on the safety standards is built with techno aids such as anti lock braking system and electronic brakeforce distribution. All this puts it among the top most releases of this year.

Exteriors:

The SUV gets the added value of a facelift at the front. In addition to this, it has a new grille at the front with chrome inserts. The headlight cluster on either side has all necessary lighting units. Beneath it there are a couple of fog lamps present. Another upgrade for the model comes in the form of the chrome bezel that is given for the fog lights. The air intake provides cooling for the large engine, and also files as an added look for the frontage. The muscular bonnet gives added flavor to the front, making for a bolder look. The sides are enhanced with the presence of large alloy wheels, and wide fenders around them. The body colored door handles make for a more synchronized overall look. Window chrome lining is given to this variant, and it gives a good touch to the side's appearance. The roof rails make for a more stylish look from the sides. The rear is higher and wider with bright tail lights integrated with all necessary systems. The tailgate appliqué has a chrome bezel, another stunning feature for the new model. The twin exhausts situated at the bottom finish the look of the machine from the rear.

Interiors:
The cabin is wide and spacious, and the seats are very comfortable. The driver seat has an exclusive eight way power adjustment feature, making sure that the person behind the wheel is in top grade comfort throughout. The premium black and beige colored interiors give out the most energetic atmosphere for the passengers. The seats are covered in premium leather upholstery, further elevating luxury for the passengers. Engine and Performance.

The machine is equipped with a massive mHawk engine. It is run by diesel, and is aided by a 5th generation variable geometry turbocharger for optimized performance. This powerplant delivers a displacement capacity of 2179cc. Furthermore, it generates a maximum power of 140hp at 3750rpm, and a peak torque of 330Nm at 1600-2800rpm. All of this formidable engine capacity is transferred through the presence of a 6-speed synchromesh manual gearbox for best performance. Altogether, the engine takes the machine to a top speed of around 190 Kmph, and lets it cross the 100 Kmph within just 14 seconds or so. This is astounding for the size and build of the vehicle, and for the segment that it comes under.
Braking and Handling:
The manufacturer of this great machine fulfills all of its needs, and the braking is included. It has strong disc and caliper brakes at the front and rear, ensuring that the machine can come to a stop quickly and safely. The suspension is also guarded for the best ride stability. It has McPherson struts with anti roll bars at the front axle, and a multi link type system with anti roll bars at the rear axle. All of this together ensures that the balance of the ride is preserved throughout. But the vehicle also employs additional guards to further elevate safety. It has an electronic stability program with rollover mitigation. This ensures that the ride is kept safe throughout. In addition to this, it also has the standard anti lock braking system, along with the electronic brakeforce distribution for optimum safety throughout.

Comfort features:
A high tech infotainment system is present at the front. This is complete with a 7 inch touchscreen, something few other vehicles would offer. It is also functional with USB inputs, audio and video image compatibility, and an exclusive GPS feature for optimum convenience of the passengers. The voice command feature that the music system offers is the highlight of the cabin. The door speakers are built in with tweeters. It has a rear parking camera with a dynamic assist, blending safety and convenience. An advanced intellipark feature arms the drive, and this also provides safety in addition to comfort. It has power windows, a driver express-down and express-up window, a bonnet with hydraulic assist, a remote tail gate opening, a smart key with central locking, and reading lamps for the front and second rows. Mobile charging units are gifted for all three rows, something unique for this variant. The windows are tinted, and with a solar reflecting glass that helps to further cool the cabin. As standard features, this vehicle has a glove box with laptop holder for spare needs of the passengers.

Safety features:

The safety necessities are more than taken care of. It has six airbags in all, two dual airbags at the front, along with side and curtain airbags. It has side impact beams that ensure that collisions are guarded against to the best possible extent. Crumple zones ensure further crash protection. This variant is also gifted with a feature for hill hold and hill descent control. It also has an electronic stability program with rollover mitigation.
