The Mahindra TUV 300 T6 Plus AMT comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine coupled to a 5-speed AMT. It is the based on the T6 Plus variant and is the most affordable automatic TUV 300 in the country. It is priced at Rs 9.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi, as of May 10, 2017) and is Rs 70,000 more expensive than the T6 Plus variant with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The 1.5-litre engine on the TUV 300 T6 Plus AMT produces 82.5 PS of power and 230Nm of torque. While the torque figure is similar, the power is 3PS lesser than the T6 Plus variant with a manual gearbox. The AMT gearbox also has a manual mode allowing you to shift gears manually.

In terms of safety, the TUV 300 T6 Plus AMT is equipped with features like driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock braking system and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.

It has all other features that come with the T6 Plus variants like rear defogger, rear wiper and washer and display for infotainment screen. However, the TUV 300 T6 Plus AMT does miss out on a lot of features that are offered in the top-spec T8 variant. It also misses out on features like alloy wheels, front fog lamps, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, steering mounted audio and phone controls, height adjustable driver's seat, follow-me-home headlamps and lead-me-to-vehicle headlamps.

Moreover, the TUV 300 T6 Plus AMT isnâ??t offered with the powerful mHawk100 engine unlike the top T8 variant. Although the mHawk100 is of same size as the engine on the T6 Plus AMT, it is tuned to produce 101.4PS of power and 240Nm of torque.
