Mahindra Scorpio model series gets a couple of new variants in its lineup. One of which is named as Mahindra Scorpio S10 AT 4WD . It is equipped with the same 2.2-litre, mHawk diesel engine that has a variable geometry turbocharger along with an intercooler. This mill can produce a maximum power of 120bhp in combination with a torque output of 280Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission gear box that enables easier gear shifts. This sports utility vehicle has a rugged overall design and comes with some remarkable aspects. It includes a chrome treated radiator grille that is surrounded by a trendy headlight cluster. Its side profile looks attractive with a set of 17 inch alloy wheels as well as outside rear view mirrors. Meanwhile, its rear end features a large windshield integrated with an LED based high mount stop lamp and a well sculpted body colored bumper. Inside the cabin, it has a hydraulic power steering system fitted to the dashboard, while the well cushioned seats come with fabric upholstery. Integrated with a common rail direct injection system, this mill features variable geometry turbocharger with intercooler. It carries 4-cylinders, sixteen valves and is paired with a six speed automatic transmission gear box. The maximum power generated by this motor is 120bhp at 4000rpm and delivers 280Nm torque between 1800 and 2800rpm. This variant takes about 15 seconds to cross the speed mark of 100 Kmph and attains a top speed of approximately 165 to 170 Kmph. In terms of mileage, it can return about 13 to 14 Kmpl on the highways and nearly 9 Kmpl on city roads.

Braking and Handling:

This top end variant has its front axle assembled with an independent strut, while the rear one gets a multi link coil spring suspension. These are further loaded with anti roll bar and coil springs. Coming to braking, its front wheels are fitted with ventilated disc brakes and drum brakes are used for the rear ones. Good control and stability of this vehicle is ensured by its hydraulic power assisted steering system that has tilt adjustment function. It gives precise response and supports its 5.65 meters turning radius.

Comfort Features:

It comes packed with several comfort features that makes the drive quite enjoyable. It features 12V charging points in front and second row seats, while the air conditioning unit with automatic temperature control helps in regulating the temperature inside. It has an advanced audio unit that comes with a 6-inch touchscreen display. This features a CD player and supports USB, Aux-In as well as Bluetooth connectivity. The driver's seat has height adjustment facility and the steering wheel comes mounted with audio and cruise control switches.
