Exteriors :

 

The most exciting aspect about the new Honda City is its striking new look that surely turns the heads. The company updated the front, side and rear profiles of this sedan, which has given a modern look to the sedan. The most dominating aspect of its front profile is its striking new radiator grille fitted with a thick chrome plated slat that is incorporated with the company insignia. Also the front bumper comes with a sporty new design that adds to the aggressive look of its front profile. Not but the least, the headlight cluster surrounding the radiator grille gets a sleek design that completes the overall look of the front. Coming to the sides, the wheel arches have been crafted very well and they comes fitted with a set of 15 inch alloy wheels. The door handles have been garnished with chrome, while the ORVMs have been painted with body color. The rear end of this sedan is blessed with a brand new taillight cluster that comes a unique design incorporated with LED light setup. This taillight cluster is complimented by a thick chrome plated strip on the boot lid that brings a premium appeal to the rear profile. On the whole, the fourth generation Honda City sedan is the one that can spark up a new trend in the sedan segment with its mind blogging look.

 

Interiors :

 

Coming to the insides, the new Honda City i VTEC CVT VX variant has a next generation interior design that will surely captivate the occupants. The dashboard is blessed with a layered look and it is accentuated with a lot of silver inserts. The central console of the dashboard comes with a gloss black finish and it is equipped with a number of advanced equipments and functions. The list includes an AC unit, touchscreen panel , music system have been equipped to the central console that provides a greater level of convenience to the driver and co passenger. On the other hand, there is a sophisticated multi-information instrumental cluster incorporated to the dashboard that comes equipped with functions such as fuel consumption display, dual trip meter, cruising range, outside temperature display, instantaneous fuel economy display and many other features. The company improved the wheelbase of this sedan to about 2600mm that created a better leg space for those in the rear cabin. On the other hand, the seats have been covered with high quality beige colored leather upholstery that gives a luxurious feel to all the occupants.

The fourth generation Honda City I VTEC CVT VX trim is equipped with a high performance 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, SOHC based petrol power plant that produces 1497cc displacement capacity . The manufacturer has incorporated this particular engine with a sophisticated electronic fuel injection system that helps in improving the fuel economy. This i-VTEC engine has the ability to produce a peak power output of about 117.3bhp at 6600rpm that is converted in to a peak torque output of about 145Nm at 4600rpm . The manufacturer skillfully coupled this engine with a highly advanced 5-speed CVT automatic transmission gearbox that distributes the engine torque to the front wheels and enables the vehicle to return a maximum 18 Kmpl of mileage.

 

Braking and Handling:

 

The company is offering this new model series with a highly proficient braking mechanism. It has fitted the front wheels of this sedan with a pair of disc brakes, while assembling the rear ones with a set of high quality drum brakes. These brakes are assisted by an advanced anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution system that prevents the wheels from locking up and also minimizes the risk of skidding. On the other hand, the front axle of this sedan comes fitted with McPherson Strut suspension mechanism and the rear axle is bestowed with Torsion Beam type of suspension mechanism. This mechanism is reinforced by coil springs that allows the vehicle to take on all the jerks caused on roads.

The Honda City i VTEC CVT VX is the top end petrol variant in its model series and it is being offered with innovative comfort features along with technically advanced safety functions. This sedan comes equipped with a high performance 1.5-litre petrol power plant that is coupled with a 5-speed CVT automatic transmission gearbox that delivers the power to the front wheels. The manufacturer proudly claims that the vehicle has the ability to give away a peak mileage of about 18 kmpl, which will make it competitive in the automobile segment. Technically, this fourth generation edition remained to be the same as the outgoing model but it received major changes in terms of exteriors and interiors.
