Fiesta 1.5 TDCi Titanium Review
Ford Fiesta is one of the stylish sedans available in the country's car market. The company has introduced its facelifted version with only a diesel engine. It is available in three variants, out of which, Ford Fiesta 1.5 TDCi Titanium is the top end trim in its model lineup. This variant is powered by a 1.5-litre engine, which comes with a displacement capacity of 1498cc. It has the ability to churn out 89.7bhp, which is 1bhp more than its previous motor. At the same time, it can generate a maximum torque output of 204Nm. It is cleverly mated with a five speed manual transmission gear box, which helps in attaining a top speed of 160 Kmph. It can cross the speed barrier of 100 Kmph in close to 12.2 seconds from a standstill. The company has given it slightly improved exteriors with hexagonal radiator grille, new bumper and lustrous bonnet. The overall dimensions of this sedan are quite standard and it comes with a large wheelbase of 2489mm that ensures a spacious cabin inside. The overall length measures about 4320mm along with a decent height of 1486mm and a total width of 1764mm, which includes external wing mirrors. The fuel tank capacity of this vehicle is 40 litres and it has spacious boot compartment of 430 litre.
Exteriors:
The exteriors are fitted with numerous striking features, which makes it look more impressive. It has a slanting forward bonnet, which has a couple of visible character lines. The front windscreen is made of tinted glass that is accompanied by a set of rain sensing wipers. In the center, it has a hexagonal radiator grille with a lot of chrome treatment. This grille is surrounded by an eye shaped headlight cluster, which is equipped with twin chamber based bright reflector headlamps and turn indicators. Its body colored front bumper comes fitted with an air dam that is flanked by a couple of fog lamps. The sleekly designed side profile is fitted body colored door handles and OVRMs. These outside rear view mirrors are power adjustable and have been integrated with turn indicators as well. Its wheel arches are fitted with a set of 15 inch alloy wheels, which gives the side profile an elegant look. These rims are covered with 195/60 R15 sized tubeless radial tyres. Apart from these, it also has black colored B-pillar appliqué and chrome belt line that gives it a classy look. On the other hand, the rear end comes equipped with a windshield that is integrated with a defogger and a high mounted brake light. It also has a well lit tail light cluster, a body colored bumper with fog lamps and a expressive boot lid.

Its cabin comes with styling aspects like a leather wrapped steering whee l, gear shift knob along with royal black metallic finish central console and inside door handles, which gives the cabin a classy appearance. The well cushioned seats are covered with premium fabric upholstery and provide enough leg space and shoulder room for a minimum of five passengers. Apart from these, the company has also given it some utility based features like a large glove box, small tray in center console, front and rear door trims with magazine pockets, cup holders in floor console as well as in rear center arm rest and many other such aspects. The multi-functional steering wheel is mounted with audio and phone control switches, which adds to the convenience of the driver. Its instrument panel is incorporated with a number of functions, which are a digital tripmeter, headlamp-on notification and door ajar warning lamp, a tachometer, low fuel warning light, driver seat belt notification and so on.
Engine and Performance:
Under the bonnet, this facelifted version is equipped with the same 1.5-litre diesel engine, which comes with a displacement capacity of 1498cc . This single overhead camshaft based power plant is integrated with four cylinders and eight valves. It has the ability to churn out a maximum power output of 89.7bhp at 3750rpm in combination with a peak torque of 204Nm between 2000 to 2750rpm, which is rather good for this segment. It is incorporated with a TDCi (turbo diesel common rail injection) fuel supply system that can generate an impressive fuel economy. This motor allows the sedan to deliver about 25.01 Kmpl on the highways, while under standard driving conditions in the city limits it gives close to 20.02 Kmpl. It is mated with a five speed manual transmission gear box, which transmits the engine power to its front wheels.
