Audi India is the fully owned subsidiary of the German automobile manufacturer Audi. Audi was selling its cars in the market since 2004, however Audi got completely established in March 2007 as a division of Volkswagen Group Sales India. In the past five years Audi India has been able to establish itself well in the luxury car segment, at present there are 13 Audi car models present in the company in the sedan and the hatchback segment. One among these is Audi Q5 which lies in the SUV segment, and is available in the market in 3 different variants with both petrol and diesel engine options. These are Audi Q5 TFSI Quattro ( petrol), Audi Q5 2.0 TDI and Audi Q5 3.0 TDI Quattro ( diesel). The base diesel model which is Audi Q5 2.0 TDI is powered by a 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder in line diesel engine which churns out a power of 167.6bhp at the rate of 4200rpm and a torque of 350Nm for a range between 1750-2500rpm. The mileage delivered by the car is around 10kmpl which is quite decent seeing the power and torque generated by the car.This compact SUV has a wonderful handling, it's immense grip on the road, solid body control and the power steering wheel provides offers more fun than any other car of this segment. There are ample of safety and comfort features which provides immense pleasure and safe driving. The safety features that features a modern shield grille that dominates the front-end styling, and it gives it a very attractive face. Audi Q5 offers include ABS (Anti lock Braking System), traction control, antiskid system, dual front and rear side curtain airbags. The car is available in the market in 6 different colors which are Meteor Grey Metallic, Garnet Red, Phantom Black, Ibis White, Ice Silver Metallic and Stratos Blue.Dimensions of this SUV are 4629mm x 1898mm x 1653mm ( length x width x height ). The car has a wheelbase of 2807mm with a kerb weight of 1740kg.

Engine and Performance

The car is powered by a 2.0 Liter 4 cylinder In-Line diesel engine which churns out a power of 167.6bhp at the rate of 4200rpm ans a torque of 350Nm for a range between 1750-2500rpm. The SUV with the power and torque generated can accelerate the car from 0-100kmph in just 9.9 seconds and can touch a top speed of 200kmph . The car also delivers a mileage of 10kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 75 liters which allows you to drive around 750kms with out refueling once full tank.

Braking and Handling

The brake mechanism of the car includes Ventilated disc brakes in the front and rear with ABS, Brake assist and EBD to provide effective braking and small stopping distance . The suspension system in the car has 4-link front, Double upper & Lower wishbones, Anti-roll bar, Air suspension in the front and Self-tracking trapezoidal-link with wishbone, Anti-roll bar, Air suspension at the rear. For handling we have a power steering wheel with tilt and telescopic steering column which provide a turning radius of 11.6 meters.
