The company revised the model in 2012, with improvements to the design, the engine and other elements that add to the overall driving experience. The car competes with many other lauded names in the supercar segment, including Ferrari and Porsche. The Aston Martin DB9 V12 Volante is one of the variant available in this series. Among the many impressive design elements, the vehicle is equipped with the mighty V12 engine. This is among the most powerful drivetrains in the world, and it takes the vehicle to a staggering top speed of 295kmph. Also, it allows it to race from 0 to 100kmph within just 4.6 seconds. Coming to the body facet, the machine is built to evoke the shape of a sports car. The taillight clusters are stylishly designed, and are integrated with clear LEDs, turn indicators, courtesy lights and other necessary lighting systems. There are two tailpipes at the bottom garnished in chrome. The vehicle's overall body structure is of an aluminum, magnesium alloy and composite structure. The company is also offering an optional carbon fiber pack that comprises of the vehicle's front splinter, rear diffuser, mirror cap, mirror arm and graphite tailpipe finish.

Displacement The displacement of an engine is the total volume of all of the cylinders in the engine. Measured in cubic centimetres (cc) | 5935 cc |
Max Power Power dictates the performance of an engine. It's measured in horsepower (bhp) or metric horsepower (PS). More is better. | 510bhp@6000rpm |
Max Torque The load-carrying ability of an engine, measured in Newton-metres (Nm) or pound-foot (lb-ft). More is better. | 600Nm@5000rpm |
No. of Cylinders ICE engines have one or more cylinders. More cylinders typically mean more smoothness and more power, but it also means more moving parts and less fuel efficiency. | 12 |
Valves Per Cylinder Valves let air and fuel into the cylinders of a combustion engine. More valves typically make more power and are more efficient. | 4 |
Valve Configuration Valve configuration refers to the number and arrangement of intake and exhaust valves in each engine cylinder. | DOHC |
Fuel Supply System Responsible for delivering fuel from the fuel tank into your internal combustion engine (ICE). More sophisticated systems give you better mileage. | Direct Injection |
Bore X Stroke Bore is the diameter of the cylinder, and stroke is the distance that the piston travels from the top of the cylinder to the bottom. Multiplying these two figures gives you the cubic capacity (cc) of an engine. | 89 X 79.5 mm |
Compression Ratio The amount of pressure that an engine can generate in its cylinders before combustion. More compression = more power. | 10.9:1 |
Turbo Charger A device that forces more air into an internal combustion engine. More air can burn more fuel and make more power. Turbochargers utilise exhaust gas energy to make more power. | No |
